Re: First website flip :)
Mopeds are a bunch of fun. My little brother had one before he got his license, definitely easier than riding a bike. A friend of mine took it out one night and thought it would be fun to jump curbs with it.. he somehow got thrown infront of the bike and got run over by it. Wouldn't have believed the story if it wasn't for the tread marks on his back.
Congrats on the sale btw

Maybe, maybe not. Leaning toward the "not" side atm... not really my thing, though the instant cash was nice...

If you would reinvest, you would have money for a BMW, not just a moped

The resale value of the BMW would likely be less than the cost of a moped by the time Lemonarian is old enough to drive a car legally (I don't mean learners permit as that is usually a couple of years lower).

Re: First website flip :)
ive sold a few websites before but they were adsense sites that i had built. I suppose i might get back into it.
Ill make a portfolio of adsense sites, let them age and build organic traffic and then ill just sell them. I suppose atleast ill be making some money then.

Re: First website flip :)
Well that is more than my first site flip which made me 72? bucks. I think site flipping can be great for people like me. Build 10 sites a month, get them to get some visitors and then sale them for 50 bucks a pop. That is 500 a month.....

I am just trying to get money. What I mean is hard work means nothing if it makes the money I need to continue on. People around here work hard crappy hours and get paid 10 bucks or less a hour. Usually $6.55 a hour(going up to $7.15? soon) or so.
BUT, you are 100% right. Work smart not hard because you DON'T have to work hard IF you build a list.
I just need money fast and if it takes hard work at first then well so be it.
I want to build a list but list software is expensive.

Re: First website flip :)
Actually Austin it's only $19 a month for aweber, which is less than I pay in webhosting. If you build the list aggressively fast then you could have a decent return from that. That's my plan anyway.

Re: First website flip :)
Gone are the days that it took 6 months (not of work, of time) to build a content site that would earn $400/month. My first flip was for $5000 USD.

BizBuySell.com is also another good place to get high valuations - if you know how to use it... as it's mostly offline businesses.
I recommend building a list of brokers of your own.
cheers

Harder. Much harder. I performed 10 article submissions to 25 websites to get to that point. The income that it earnt only grew after I had sold it.
