I want to know why CB is doing this and if it's true

A guy I know has a new product called rank to the bank and he put it into CB to get accepted, but they wrote him back saying this...

They are turning away products in the IM niche, and they are weeding out most of the IM niche altogether...

Now I didn't read his ebook and I don't know what was all in it but is CB really doing this? Is it the ebook itself they didn't like and gave him this excuse... It had to do with SEO... he had to go to paydotcom.

I have a IM video series/membership/ebooks site I am creating right now (that's why I havent been around too much lately) I'm wondering if it even has a chance on CB after what I just heard...

Does anyone know more?

That's a stupid thing to do, honestly, the only reason I even got into CB was because of an IM sales pitch I saw and decided to check the site out. People creating and selling IM products is the best way for CB to expand it's business, that should be obvious.
Or it could be that with the economy so bad in the US, they don't want more people coming in and scrounging around. Whatever the case, this isn't the brightest move they could make right now.

Some possible reasons:

1. So many IM products are the same
2. Huge launch/die quick products giving artificial gravity
3. Most IM products are bought by affiliates through their own link
4. Refund rate for IM products could be too high and they are getting too many chargebacks etc

There could be other reasons, but I haven't heard they whether they stopped approving IM products or not.
