I Finally Popped My Conversion Cherry!!! Bout f***in time : ) First Sale... & What I did

Hola from not so sunny England..

Got my 1st sale yesterday and whilst it was disproportionate to the about of time it took (not whinging but I've arsed so much, spent too much time learning and checking out forums & I can tell you all about EMAs, MACD and putting together your own forex strategy - but you dont' need to know it all...). It's good to get started and at least I know where the sale come from and what I had to do to get it... Here goes for anyone new to all this or working on it....

Followed Lemonarion Guide for Piss Poor People. I'm a tight ass and wanted to earn my money for hosting etc so just bumming it with his cool blogger thang (make it look like a lander)

1 x squidoo, 1 x hubpages, 1 x forum post and 4 x blog posts. They all count for jack because the purchaser came from Ezine Articles. Not disregarding them, but the sale or traffic didn't come from these.

I only got four articles up there, 2 with product title and one with buying type keywords and a benefit (eg. Best..... that Makes Life Easy). It was one of the later type of articles that got the sale.

I used Only Wire to bookmark absolutely everything, pinged them (I think) and set up another blog to repost my articles and get them a backlink.

My total article views are 214 and 21% click through rate.

It's a nice $50 or so work for going to London for few bevies yesterday. I've not tried too hard because I've moved towards another product and am doing similar but a bit more throughly and trying to get organic trafffic for the landing blog, if I can get it to rank high enough that is.

I recently bought a Newbie Blueprint that describes how to earn $3000 in one month. It involves 280 articles (10 a day) and using 5 niches. Whilst I don't think that's the cleverest way to earn, gettin that sale outta few Ezine articles makes you realise it can happen.... newbies take note, use Lemonarian Bummage and 280 articles and you'll be on fire, fire... fire, fire (disco inferno... )

Thanks to all you guys here for making it possible, Mr Lemonarion especially. I'm a little sad and feel a little guilty that it wasn't one of Norb's products since I may not have made the sale if it wasn't for this forum. I am working on that & will get me an NC sale soon!!

It's tighter than the WF say and because we've all got a lot of common interests affiliate wise, it keeps you in the same niche for longer. It's all about persistance and believe.

Cheers boyz & gurlz (and thanks to Josh the ninja & inspirational character respect - miss you bruv...)

    Congratz Alan ...

it's easy to get disheartened about the amount of work we put in initially ... all that work is not wasted though, it's all potential traffic ... traffic evolves over time ... keep it going!!

Cheers guys, just got another lander and ezine article out there for a product I have absolute faith in (bought it and use it). The article is so excited and hypey (only because I think it's the nutz) I had to tone it down for fear of being rejected. Oops.

This bad boy better pull in some sales!

I'm working on FXBH too but with a little more care, that's my real learning curve. If I can get a sale outta that I'll be well chuffed because of how competitve the market is.

Congratz on the sale... but I think the $3000 blueprint is kinda strange if it requires 280 articles, you could probably look at selling those articles as PLR packs and make $13,500 instead of $3,000

280 articles on 5 different niche areas = 56 articles per niche.

Limit sales to 100 copies of each pack of 56 and sell them for $27 per pack.

    Niche Pack 1 = 100 copies at $27 per pack = $2700
    Niche Pack 2 = 100 copies at $27 per pack = $2700
    Niche Pack 3 = 100 copies at $27 per pack = $2700
    Niche Pack 4 = 100 copies at $27 per pack = $2700
    Niche Pack 5 = 100 copies at $27 per pack = $2700

    Total: $13,500

If I was able to write that amount of quality articles then I would be looking at selling them in packs... and at less than 50 cents an article, it could be a worthwhile venture.

What a total fluke.. I'm so glad I mentioned that because I don't have the time to write 280 articles so I was thinking maybe half or quarter but the PLR idea.... now that's a gem if you're looking to start out!!

    rep for opening my eyes!!

Hadn't even crossed my mind. The only up to keeping them in your name would be that you've potentially got revenue month on month that grows.

That said, I'm guessin it would be better to write say 280 articles targeting say 280 different keywords and put up a website and dominate the niche (well kinda)

Wow, I'd rather have 280 articles on my site, targeting 2000 keywords or so. That with a good SEO structure and links is a recipe for domination.

Nice job, I can fully relate on the spending too much time reading and not doing at first, definately a problem but success stories always get me refocused. Time for more article writing

Yes lemonarian... I would rather have those 280 "ORIGINAL" articles on my site.

I would just clarify that when I mentioned the PLR thing it was due to the number of articles it stated in the $3000 blueprint and there are several ways to get $3000+ if you have 280 articles.

    1. PLR idea outlined earlier ($13,500)
    2. Selling the "original articles" for $15 each ($4200)
    3. 280 articles on your own affiliate site with SEO (eek... loads probably)
    4. 280 articles on your own sites with Adsense (lifetime easily over $3000 if optimized - 5 niche sites)
    5. Use them to build 5 niche sites with 7 day courses (list building) for each site and the remaining articles as additional information for each of the niche sites

Followin the $3000 blueprint and requiring 280 articles = not a blueprint for success in my opinion, but a blueprint for hard work for little reward

PS. I am in agreement with you Lemonarian, I just quoted your post to emphasize my feeling about that specific blueprint

This is like brainstorming IM style. Lovin' it.

It highlights how Bum Marketing is a bit like fighting the tide. All these ideas are building assets and a proper IM business idea/plans for the long term.

    thanks

    Great success story congrats,

Well on my blog i have about 140 articles and increases 1 a day every day. At the moment made one sale, however only just started with affiliate marketing so need to let my readers get used to it.

Starting a subscription list too not sure what to do with that though :P going to write another eBook first. To lure them in.
