How was yesterday and today for you forex'ers?

My shit just hit a brick wall all of a sudden yesterday and today. Any news? Anyone else experience a hit?

my campaigns all went dead over this past weekend and the beginning of this week, there were odd spikes of sales and horribly unusual droughts.

Hmm interesting,

we actually had a record day on Monday (holiday) - caught me right off guard tbh, I figured it would be dry. Wish I could help explain the fluctuation, the accounts/sites/payment processing seem fine I just tested all sites to be sure, and the last week or so has been normal on the top end.

Perhaps it is a clickbank tweak or just a random dry period.

If my traffic was down, and it being a holiday weekend, then I could understand low sales. But my traffic was way up as I made a bet that more people would be surfing, and I amplified my efforts to anticipate that, and there were days with

I'm going to have to start attempting to buy the product for these droughts, it probably wouldn't do anything anyway as it is probably clickbank and they wouldn't react in time anyway, but at least it would let me know the problem isn't all me.

Ya monday was my record day at $335 and tuesday I hit $315. Then weds I had 1 forex sale for FAPS, then just now I finally got a funnel sale.

But my traffic has been way up since monday/tuesday, hops are up, nothing has changed except my sales dropped by 75% lol.

monday is when everything turned back on, so to speak, for me as well, it was really as if someone threw a switch on fri, sat, sun..............traffic was thru the roof and it was 0 0 0

My conversions have been in the toilet too (not promoting ForEx but other niches) and same deal. I sent 500 clicks to my normally 1 per 100 converting offer and zero. I lost money yesterday on that campaign, and my other successful campaign has dried up considerably (although I'm still making about half the sales I was making in the summer months).

Update: Nothing for Saturday either, that's THREE DAYS IN A ROW with no sales of anything, I don't just promote Forex.

I am paranoid about CB and the hop link tracking and so I tested a few links, on more than one occasion I saw "affiliate=none" which is bad.

I have removed all cloaking to make sure it is not my host/cloaking and will see what happens.

I have sent 380 hops over that 3 day period, my average conversion before was about 50-60/sale.

I have turned off some of my PPC campaigns as it is about to start costing me serious cash, but this is a vicious circle.

I wish we didn't have to deal with CB and could go direct with Norb!

P.S. Norb, were your record days from publisher or affiliate accounts? If I am right and the affiliates are not being recorded "affiliate=none" then it wouldn't surprise me if you are having good days on publisher account!

I don't know how you guys promote forex stuff with Bum Marketing, because I can't find any good keywords, which would be worth going for...

All of them are just too competitive, or they get like 5 searches a day, which is nothing...

Things picked back up for me somewhat but no sales on saturday either. So far 1 forex funnel sale today on sunday though.

Last weekend, as I had mentioned, I had nothing on Saturday, and then a switch just went on, sales everywhere. This Saturday, on one of my accounts, same deal, no sales all day, and then when it hit 12:00 am sunday night- idaho time- sales left and right, international and state side. Who knows. Last weekend I was going to throw my computer out the window with the 1000s of hops I was sending with 0 0 0 days.

I really am struggling to keep going, can't believe how it can be so good one month and then absolutely nothing the next month. I haven't had a sale since 2nd Sept, I had at least 1 per day for the whole of August!

I am lost for ideas now.

I had one yesterday, but not Forex and only for a shitty $15!

I was just checking some stats and my hops are down from the last week of August, they have dropped about 50% for the last week, so that is one problem, but of those hops my conversion has dropped massively.

So last week of August - 1172 hops - 16 sales
First week of Sept - 644 hops - 3 sales

So hops have halved, but sales dropped by over 5 times!

Google must have slapped me, competition increased for the hops to drop, but sales (conversion rate) is really puzzling me.

Really not happy.

I will console myself with the knowledge that I have $1350 on the way to my bank as we speak!

I am glad I never took a loan out for a Porsche on the basis of August sales!!!

Something has to be up with some their tracking for certain products.
I have increased hops and 0 sales on certain days. I am not talking about 100s of hops, or one thousand hops, but 1000s of hops with 0 sales days, book ended by sales days that are 7 or more sales deep.

All my troubles come on the weekends. Previous weekends I had much lower hop levels with large sales. And the past few weekends, hops are much, much higher, and sales are nill on certain days. To go from nothing to 7 or 8 sales just seems a bit odd. It can happen, of course, but it seems really suspicious.

I must agree this shit is fucked up. I went over a week straight of 2-4 sales a day on 100-150 visitors a day. I figured well I am converting well enough, why not send more traffic. I up it to 200-250 and what happens, my sales drop to 0 or the odd 1 every other day.

Since Saturday September 6th my sales have just been complete garbage.

Something happened to this market last week because my sales have just completely stopped for absolutely no reason. Since Saturday over 500 extremely targetted hops that would normal give me 5-10 sales. I got ONE sale and 2 refunds out of all of it. This is not just norbs products, I have others on my site that I usually get atleast a sale a day from each, and NOTHING.

Any big forex market news that every potential forex autopilot customer might have heard to scare them away?

I think it must be the time of the year, because my other niche is gone to the shitter as well. I've thrown over 1500 clicks this week to my proven converter, and had 3 measly conversions. I usually convert 1 per 100 on normal occasions, but this week totally sucks.

Needless to say, PPC campaigns have been scaled down or entirely paused until something gets resolved.

What do you think could be the cause of all this? My niche is completely different in every aspect possible when it comes to Forex, however I'm experiencing the same shit you guys are.

I talked to another buddy of mine, he said his sales have stayed the same through last week and today, so i really have no idea wtf is up here. Would be quite the coincidence if we all are just having "bad days"

Norb - can you check your stats to see if you have received a lot more sales without affiliates, or if you have suddenly got one affiliate making tons of sales while the rest of us lose out. I am convinced that CB have screwed us over again, but they will never accept this, would be interesting to hear from the publisher.

Kinitex - I have not had a forex sale of any kind for a week now, very very strange. Still lots of good targetted hops though.

No we have haven't had an influx of internal sales, and no there is no king affiliate, however there has been a slight drop in sales patterns for the forex products. Yes when I check the stats I'm not seeing the affiliates that I'd usually see as much. The few times this has happened usually equated to a market change and people scramble for a while.

What I dont understand though is how can search volume, traffic, and hops all stay the same if the market suddenly became ugly for autopilot use. Why would people still be searching for them knowing they aren't even interested in them right now.

i'm only a n00b but i think one thing people forget in all this is that we are talking about human behaviour here, not machine behaviour ...

human behaviour can be predicted / trended / analysed to death, but there will always be a certain amount of randomness ...

pls no flaming, it's just something to consider ...

meanwhile, even when the humans aren't behaving the way you want, just keep building the links etc etc ... chances are they will come back

yeah - and clickbank still count a lot of bots as valid hops (they seem to have discounted only the main google bot, but yahoo recently sent 12 hops from one of my sites... I checked this by viewing the server stats).

So if they count yahoo bots as valid hops and only discount the main google one... you are going to see inflated hops when any page of yours is indexed by a bot other than the main google bot.

I hear ya, but my hops were greatly increased for labor day weekend, by 50%, into thousands of hops, and conversions were like 1 in 2000 hops, or 0 in 2500 hops, and those are for products that convert 1/200 or 1/100 like clockwork. So it could have been just bad luck, but I feel it was reporting on CBs end, or cookie overwriting.

Cookie overwriting is a good theory, as I get almost 30% more reported conversions in Adwords than I do with actual conversions reported in Clickbank. If only I was receiving 1:1 conversions in Adwords vs. Clickbank, I'd be a very happy man.
