    Epic Failure Zango Sales Thefts?

After noticing a short period of no sales, I have to question if there is a problem with some affiliates and maybe some scumware issues for example such as Zango taking affiliate sales away.

On the current level of momentum that I have had with sales, and all of a sudden a dead stop on those sale for a few days have me really concerned.

Has anybody else who has been marketing noticed a similar drop?

I am just a littled pissed at the situ, and might just can the CB game for another CPA....

    Tom

If you remember there were a lot of these questions at DP during January and February this year, since then it has returned to it's normal peaks and troughs.

I would only worry if your hops have stayed the same (and are consistently high enough to get averages) but sales are down.

If hops and sales are down then check out the competition, you may have dropped in the SERPS and on PPC.

    Don't give up.

Zango has had a reputation of stealing affiliates sales basically with it's browser plugin/bar thingy...read more here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zango

I've heard that cloaking your link is good enough to prevent Zango, if it does still exist.

Its not zango its clickbank. Tons of people have reported transaction problems. They even try to buy their own product and are declined for no apparent reason. I am seeing this come up more and more now. People have to try ordering multiple times before it goes through. My sales have dropped considerably and my hops have increased. Fucking bullshit.

let me quickly explain this in short:

    1. Zango is a gateway for people to install their plugin/browser to access their content (mostly movies).

    2. The only affect it has, is on those same people that install their gateway. If THOSE people try to buy a CB product, assuming through YOUR hoplink, it was said that Zango actually switches the CBID on the payment checkout page to their own/partners/etc.

    3. I wouldn't really worry about Zango, in fact I'm not even sure if any of the above is true anymore as they claim that they've cleaned up their act (google zango lawsuit).

    4. I'm surprised that YOU have posted such a thread, something may indeed be up with your campaign, your hop count, your lander, or even your ID if it has been targeted somehow.

This may not be the best or only solution, but perhaps creating a new CBID to see if in fact it makes a difference might help. Overall sales have not stopped/dropped/lessened and we're actually doing well with all our recent products.

Hopefully you sort this out - also keep in mind that if you're still not getting 100 hops a day, it's just not enough data to quantify a dry spell or change in your campaign results.

    Cheers,
    N.

I have somebody who wants to join the Forex brotherhood but clickbank will not accept his card even though it has plenty of money in it. I don't know what to do, he's very interested but i'm afraid he'll lose interest if they never accept the card. I wonder if this is regional problems they are having? Or with a certain bank?

Hmm, good point, never thought of this actually - regions/certain cards/sensitivity in order overload per provider/gives me some food for thought. Once in a while we do get inquiries and all we can say is:

    *Try another card(s)
*Try again in 14 hours/next day (<< Horrible)
*Try going through a proxy <<Most have no clue
    *Try using Paypal
*Try phoning clickbank to order manually, provide the #
*Try contacting your CC company, they may be limiting you or need manual verification
