Ball is starting to roll. (Or, "WOW THIS SHIT REALLY IS REAL?!?)

First sale last week, took me by surprise for sure. Didn't notice it until a couple of days after it happened, and it has definitely lit a fire underneath me.

This first project was meant as an experiment and learning exercise, and it's a collaboration with another Chopper. Without going into too many details (Not really doing anything special to be honest, read the 30 day challenge foolios, it's all there.) We've been using article marketing, answer sites and some PPC vouchers to get things rolling. We're either directing traffic to a site with a few articles, or directly to the hoplink.

Traffic to the site itself has been low, we've been getting about 10x as many hops as we have been getting visits to our website, and today marks the first day with over 100 hops. 200 hops in total, 50 hops per order, it seems to be converting well.

A tip to newbies like us, that has been mentioned before: Get some tracking up. I don't know where the conversions are coming from, whether it's from the article marketing or from yahoo answers or from PPC or from SEO.. no clue, just know that we're doing a mixed bag of all of that, and have gotten a few sales so far.

After the first sale I was thinking, "That must have been a fluke.." Can anyone else relate to that? The flukey feeling persists, I'm not sure how many sales it will take until it goes away.

I don't really know how to inspire anyone reading this besides saying that you just need to DO it. That's literally all it takes. Start throwing shit at the wall, see what sticks. It's the internet, you can learn as you go.

Yeh look im in the same boat with the fluke sales ideal. BUT, I like to think of it as the beginning of something good. I don't even care if it was the vendor that gave me the sale because that is one person that believes in me and one person that is willing to put money behind me no matter how much it is. I love this whole IM thing. I will admit that I'm fairly new to this game but if I could i would make this my sole profession. I am only 20 and I've got to see where this takes me still but this is the most interest that I have ever taken in anything work related. So even if you think this is a fluke or a vendor just supporting you to keep promoting their product. Take that all as a good thing. You have got sales, congrats to you!

Keep up the good work mate seeing this kinda stuff along with my own sales is what really keeps me going.

Creeping up on the big 1K, I hope to reach it by the end of this month, having started in early November.

The really exciting part for me is the POTENTIAL. I'm not.. by any stretch of the imagination.. putting in anywhere near the effort I could be with this, largely due to focusing on various other projects as well.. and it's still working on a small-scale for me. I've narrowed it down to basically one "type" of traffic source, now I'm going to branch out within that type, put more effort into what IS working, and fill in those blanks.

I feel like I'm starting to approach the precipice of some "next level shit", something's going to click soon (.. I hope it's a Submit Order button.)

I'll be back when I can get a solid 2 weeks with no 0.00 days

I DO still remember my days like this - trying to close those zero gaps, having a bunch of shit on the go, back then I tried other networks at the same time as CB so I had a few CB products, aff campaigns, paydotcom offers that clickbank rejected (lol noob), and some going directly to my paypal (which I stopped, fuck getting limited because of ebook/software refundz directly < norb learns the power of middlemen/CB here)... In time I kinda stopped checking all the stats but one day combined everything and even though my CB bars weren't filled in every day, collectively I was doing pretty damn well DAILY, it, just, HAPPENED.

So yea, I think you're on your way and I WOULD put in a little extra effort on whatever laser way you've found because it might dry up or explode in front of your nose and if it explodes I'd want to champion that shite.

Congrats on succeeding so fast and not giving up (might not seem like much, but I'm good with projections and this is the foundation of something potentially huge - it ALWAYS starts with zeros, then some numbers, then NO ZEROS, it never just goes to $xxx/day from scratch without big launches and those die fast - this is natural curating growth - props), it starts to get really fun from here if the progress and process are kept moving forward.

Upsell is converting with a FURY. 4 out of my last 6 sales have gone on to convert for an upsell as well.. Infact, 3 out of the last 3, that's an extra $45 just off the past 3 sales alone. From what I can tell, anyone not messin' with upsells is just leaving money on the table. Why are there vendors who aren't setting up their upsells? You can't get much more targeted than somebody who's in the process of buying, right?

Next step is an authority site to one improve conversions (although it does look like you are flying!)

Also you will start to rank for all sorts of phrases with an authority site.

Once you are making more money from those efforts then add PPC into the mix and you will be laughing.

Just WHEN you DO get there - don't drink too much and take your foot off the gas...

That's freakin awesome James! I'm still on day 1! It's really cool to see someone getting some results! I hope I see them too as I work my way through this.
