Well, my first check.

So like, even though i'm a nobody here, yet I'd wanna give the due credit to the members here who have helped me out whether directly or indirectly in climbing up the SEO basics and clickbank ladder. Still a long way to go, yeah. Started off in feb, went through the tutorial process including the 30--day challenge posted on this forum (was of immense help).

Have been on 3 campaigns so far.

First one being dubturbo, but I ended up chosing a pretty broad-word crappy keyword which was related to beats nonetheless.

Second one was for the rift game, searches above 1k, competition was really low, less than 4k which is now over 300k heh, made some 3 sales outta that. Kinda screwed up, yet again, on the domain name but it was a nice experience nonetheless. Working on reviving this campaign finally again. Basically I was at #3 rank for many good converting kw for a month and then boom.. straight off to page 20. I kinda lost hope in that but will revive it nonetheless. let's see.

Third one is cyber sequencer, I did get one sale long ago but since then i'm focusing more on climbing up the ranks for many good competitive keywords. Yeah, that's taking time but it should pay off for the searches done for them, as well as the conversion rate for the kw looks really good. (finally got hang of that.. phew. I guess.)




Now the only thing that keeps me in the dark at times is the backlinking strategy. So far I'm just finding high PR pages and dumping one link there. I do have a squidoo page but I dunno how much effective it is to spam this page. Anyway, still learning and learning.

I should have lost hope long ago but since I have a passion for IT and I've made money via some crappy ways in the past so I thought i'd try my luck over here. 3 months and just 130$ approx. Might be nothing for many but hmm, i'm kinda okay with this. I'm even more happy that I can fund my hosting myself (had been doing in the past as well but I ended up busting almost all the money I made partying and clubbing haha).

Long delays in those sales are due to my laziness. Damn, every time it comes to writing an article I end up playing some MMO or the other. But eventually I should get over it.

That's all I guess in these 3 months.

Finally crossed the 200$ mark with 2 upsells from cybersequencer! ^_^

While my first $100 took 3 months flat, the next (150) took barely 1.5 months.

Hopefully the trend continues and the next payout is in 3 weeks, then the payment after that is after 1 week and then continues to hit the payout every week... and then you start scaling up and getting bigger payouts each week.

Well, what do you guys say about this conversion for products with hop count > 100

Don't just think it of conversions per 100 hops, but more along the lines of net profit per hop.

For instance, one of the products makes $0.14 per hop on average while another is showing $3.19. The numbers are not large enough for direct comparison, but are used to illustrate a point.

On the surface, the product making $3.19 per hop might appear more profitable but in theory it could take $3.15 in marketing costs (PPC) while the other product might be all free traffic.

All conversions seem to be at decent enough rates per 100 hops, but it also depends on how the traffic is sourced. If your net profit is positive for each product then it is worth improving the campaigns and scaling them up, but if it is negative you would need to evaluate the campaigns before scaling them up. You don't want to scale something up that isn't making you any net profit.

Look at the bigger picture... how much time, effort and money are you putting in? If something converts 1/500 but all you did was put up a 3 page wordpress blog with no backlinking - that's pretty good.

Personally I would be happy with anything < 200.

You can also try to improve your pre-sell to improve your hops per order

Umm Like for that product.. RSUPREMACY, i started off around july and that's what I have got out of that. 3 sales in 100 hops?

Yep that traffic has been damn low, need to work hard on backlinking. Tried syndicating my articles but apparently that did not work out well as I dropped in rankings after that.
But yeah, traffic nonetheless has to be worked very hard upon. I get like 100 visitors per day for Chris' Rift product.

As for investing.. no ppc, no buying of fiverr's stuff. Just simple article writing with max 20 backlinks and ive been placed on the same ranking for over a month or more than that.

But yeah, as for backlinking, should I trust any fiverr's packages? I swear finding good quality BL is pain in the ass.

Anyway, its been pretty good so far honestly. Lots to learn from the big gaiz. I've been experimenting a lot with different things : video marketing, syndication (didn't turn out well ). But yeah, what do you guys have to say about the backlinking stuff? I'm really out of ideas for this!
