Got my first two article submissions to ezinearticles accepted this morning. First attempt. Cool. But it took 9 days!

Maybe I should change my username to "Verbose."
Congratz - hopefully it was worth the wait and that future articles are approved in a better timeframe.

New writers always have to wait that long. They say that after 10 articles, your submission time is cut down. Article Base is 7 days, and I think GoArticles is 72 hours.

You should have written some more while waiting during the period of 9 days. 1 article/day = 9 articles submitted again + your orignal 2 accepted = Platinum author by now and having only to wait 2-3 days instead of 9 more days...
Guess it's just the phobia that newbies get when being scared by "Gurus" that Ezine is the oh up and mighty god of article directories, used to have it too when I started but now I think about it it's actually quite easy - just give them what they want and change accordingly if they reject it the first time (they will most of the time tell you the reason why and what to change anyway); getting your articles rejected isn't always neccessarily a bad thing. But I digress..
And Ezine has been getting more and more ridiculous with their adsense blocks
Isn't GoArticles instant and autoapprove? I heard they were going to change it recently but haven't used it much recently since the articles there don't get much views and are probably only good for backlinks..New writers always have to wait that long. yes indeed it is. I just noticed that and was going to correct my post.

Thanks for the heads up. Actually, I have plenty of content pending. However, since it was the first submission, I waited to make sure that the first submissions passed before sending in the rest intentionally. That way, I would have a ready made template to follow to insure that all of the first 10 were accepted on the first try. This is because, according to them, if you have a problem in the first 10, the magical direct to Platinum Author blessing will dissappear and you have to submit 25.
In fact, based on what I did learn during those 9 days, I am happy that I did not submit some of the other ideas because I am pretty sure that at least a few of them had problems.
In addition, I have other tasks that needed to be accomplished as well, and rushing in all at once at the beginning only to get slapped down because I didn't have the patience to find out how to play the game correctly would surely have defeated the purpose anyway as I am sure you would agree.
Sometimes less is more, and slower is faster. Methodical.
Perhaps fear could play a factor in some cases, and I agree that many of the Gurus do leave something to be desired. However, I've been published in real world, hard print publications in the past and I have no insecurities regarding the type of writing required for this purpose. With that said, I would have to say that what you are observing is not fear, it is due diligence.
Nonetheless, thank you for the feedback. I'll be sure to submit more as soon as it is practicable do so.
Peace Out!

My comment wasn't directed exactly at you, but in general (it's just cause the first question that always comes to my mind is why don't people just max out their first 10 submissions and get it over and done with ASAP) , so yeah, peace out
That was in the past. I don't think it is that way now. Cause in the past you got a really cool pen or something for being a platinum author, but now you don't get anything ...This is because, according to them, if you have a problem in the first 10, the magical direct to Platinum Author blessing will dissappear and you have to submit 25or at least I didn't get anything.
Yeah. Some of the stuff I saw around the web indicated that too. They said that it means less now than it did before.
As far as the 25 goes, you might be right. But their training/introductory materials imply that if you fail on any of the first 10, you can still get there, but you have to follow the 25 and go routine.
Either way, I don't care because I don't plan to fail.
Laters!
P.S. No harm, no foul. Just gotta set things straight for me. That's all.![]()

Yes, they can take a while to approve, just keep on writing more content so it all overlaps.
The worst thing is when they don't approve it and you have to wait for another 9 days!
If you are serious about article marketing and are going to submit more than 5 articles a day you may want to consider the Platinium author and pay for quicker approval.
Thanks. You're right. Like I said above, I sat on the stuff until I could get a feel for what they would do. I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss the boat somehow on the first couple.
After they approved them and I confirmed their presence on the web, that's when I posted them to my site. (Tried the "Jiggle the web" method this time - we'll see)
Anyway, my plan for now is to follow the same format for the next batch of articles over the weekend and get to platinum, keeping the links in the resource box the same for those articles to minimize any chance for change/error on my part. Hopefully those guys won't suddenly flake on me either.
After those are approved and post, I will resubmit similar content to everywhere else asap.
I heard that Matt Cutts announced that G would be cracking down on content farms next.[Webmaster Radio about a week ago.]
I am planning on writing more completely original k opt content for Ezines and then rewriting and spinning with spinner chief for everywhere else.
Any word out there on how this will impact?
Worried about spinning. Will probably just write everything myself or outsource for now.
Also, maybe you or somebody can help me with something else. I claimed a new site with Technorati, but I guess I am doing something wrong because it has been several days and my site still shows up nowhere in their index.
Thoughts?
Maybe I should change my username to "Verbose."
I have joined them as well, Submitting at least one article a day. I hope all will be fine with that.
