The link you provided requires you to sign-up.
That website seems to sell services that include a QR code. There is a WSO on these codes, explaining you how these codes work, and how you can make an offline income with them.
Someone probably took this service online.
These QR codes came from japan, making it possible to gain more information by scanning the code with your smart-phone.
Seems to be a up-coming hype, a simple URL on the poster does the exact same thing. QR codes are just making it a bit easier.
I Google'd "how to make QR codes" and found this website:
QR-Code Generator
If you are willing to hang up posters around your city for a small commission, Have fun!
yeah, i thought it was kind of interesting.

Sounds like a cool concept. If you can find some good converting areas for your niche and hire people to hand out fliers with your QR code could be a good way for offline marketing. Maybe a good CPA idea? Set up a simple lander with an easy cpa offer like an email submit and if you have fliers and posters up in the right area then people who are bored will check it out with their phones.

I notice that it is mostly geeky 3rd and 4th year of college type people who I see actually pulling out their smart phone to scan a QR barcode.... I'm not sure how it is trending or where it will go but I will try the free generator and see what happens...
Also, for iPhone users, it looks like AT&T has updated their free app named ATTScanner which is very fast and easy to use. It reads the 2 types of QR bar codes in addition to reading standard UPC... they are the QR or quick response, and the Data Matrix, which is the box barcode which does not have the 3 small boxes in it...

Cool.
I noticed that the niches are targeted toward the "geeky 3rd and 4th years", weight loss, tickets, and such.
I will be looking forward to later posts.
Cheers
