Anyone good with proxys ?

I need someone who is a proxy person, or maybe a solution finder.

I just setup a new box for some private proxy use, and when I goto use the proxy it shows the main server IP and not the dedicated IP I am using.

Example : I goto browse and it shows 66.5.4.3.3 , but I am using the ip 64.3.3.2.1

Any clue why it would show 66.5.4.3.3 and not 64.3.3.2.1 ?


My ninja skills are not able to be used on this, as I do not have much time to play with settings, so I decided to ask here

How long was the dedicated IP in place?

Has the dedicated IP had time to propogate?

I am not a proxy person and don't know much about it... there might be some really obvious setting that needs to be changed to reflect what IP should be used as the main IP.

Yes it has propogated, but what you said gave me a idea and I have done some reading and found out I need to edit my httpd.conf (duh! lol@me)

So thanks for your suggestion, it got me to research what I could not think of!

Thats twice stating the obvious from me now has helped resolve things... (obviously I must be an expert...)
