It is quite easy to rank in google right now for the usual terms, or at least it was a couple weeks ago.

...thats where i've been going wrong I think...i burned like $200 last week and made $50 (and I don't mean that's profit...I mean sales...still lost $150)

I was getting clicks like shit off a shovel but no sales really. The Products I was promoting was the Game tester one and Cataclysmic WOW...I linked directly through my hops cos both sales pages were of a good standard.

I've also been building my own blog sites...I'm burnt out now...so tired...I've learn't so much new shit that i've got a friggin headache...too much in one go.

Dont worry VC been there and done that lol ages ago.
You will find most people click your ad go direct to sales page then go mmmmm wonder if there are any reviews on this? then search google or whatever and find a review on the product - of course the persons review is a cb affiliate who then gets your sale.

With Links2Pinks Cityville product I just bought a domain name and forwarded it to the aff link done some videos and stuck em on youtube. I will be doing a review page soon but hey I have 3 vids on youtube and got 1 sale thats all I have done. Might of been a fluke but im getting around 15 hops a day just from that.

Im in too links .Had a fb games cheat domain and decided to play a bit with it.Made a subdomain for cityville,forwarded it to the aff link,got 2 videos up on YT ( same videos on different acc ).
After those 2 videos i put a link with the video on a fb profile (almost 2000 friends),fb fan page ( almost 1200 fans ),dugg it and stumble it.More to come .
I got like 50 views on those 2 videos and 10 hops.Well see how it goes

Hey links!

Was playing around on youtube promoting this and no sales yet.Got 5 videos up ( more to come ) and all of them 572 views as i write this.1 week has passed till the first video was uploaded but im not happy with the CB stats.

I got 160 hops - 23 hops/order from imp. - 7 order form imp. - 0 sales

What can i do to improve that?

Sending the traffic to a review landing page will definitely up the conversions.

You could also send it to a landing page to get them on a list so you can continue to market the product to them every couple days.

No direct linking.Im using a subdomian for this that redirects to my CB link.That´s what im planing,to use that subdomain to build a landing page but now im kinda busy with other things.We´ll see how it goes when the LP is up.

Just for anyone thinking about promoting this product, be warned that Zynga is know for being pretty lawsuit happy when it comes to infringing domains / trademarks / images etc.. They went after quite a few people for CB Farmville guides.

So definitely one you want to play on the right side of all things legal for.

That is true, if you don't have cityville in the domain (like I do) then you are 100% fine.

Also if you want cityville in the domain then just make it to look like a fansite and promote or review the product and you should be fine. but... i'm no lawyer or legal expert so don't yell at me if i'm wrong

It seems to me they are much more slack now, they just don't want you using their logo or people to confuse that it is one of their sites.

Also... those reports of them sueing all these people were somewhat BS (i think) simply because my name was listed as someone they sued... lol. and i got nothing..

^ Not BS. We were a few steps away from getting sued, we played nice (was for mafiawars stuff).

Be careful and if you do have their name in your .com - be prepared to move it all to a new domain/host, have a backup that is safe so you can move swiftly should they want the domain/not let you operate 'under good faith' which is what it's about for Zynga.

Yep definately move on. I just got a nice email from HostGator as they were contacted by Zynga and my trademark domain. Time to move the site...You guys aware if I just can do a 301 redirect to my new domain? Is this safe or should I completly forget about the linkjuice?

Can anyone help on few of the keywords to target for this cityville product. I don't expect to expose all the potential keywords but I checked in google keyword tool and found really less searches for the keywords like cityville secrets, cityville reviews, and cityville guide which has global monthly searches of 880.

I was excited to start making the landing page and doing some SEO on it to get in the traffic but when I saw the searches, I was disappointed. Please tell me whether I am right about the keyword searches or I am not seeing the other right thing?

^^ Google Keyword Tool only updates so often and Cityville is pretty new. Those keywords more than likely get loads more searches than its showing right now

Nice man!I have like 5 vids on YT with 2k views.Almost 500 hops on CB and no sales .So you should be happy about it and scale that puppy up

Thanks man. Im getting around 25 hops a day just from those vids. I have actually been lazy with it. I don't play the game so it's hard to make videos. Might try searching fiverr or something?

It should be safe as it is the norm for any trademark term to be accepted as a category name for websites... it is usually only when it appears in the domain name itself.
