My Small Success With Squidoo and Christmas

Thought I would post a success as it is pretty big for me.
2 years ago I set up a squidoo lens about Christmas gift ideas not sure why as I cant remember but I created it and forgot about it. Then around September this year I checked the stats and noticed it was ranking for some really good keywords related to xmas.

Lucky for me I ended up getting a few number 1 listings in Google and the lens gets around 2k visitors a day. Once xmas is over it will fade out and earnings will drop but this month I have made -


All up I have made $670 with 31 orders still to be shipped all from this one lens and its the only money I have made from amazon. I have a few plans for testing amazon with some site ideas but Im thinking this is a bit of a fluke lol..
Anyways since its almost the end of Christmas thought I would show off my lens thats done it all

Good job man. Now take that concept and apply it to thanks giving, dwalhi, easter, birthdays etc

Very nicely done. Take what you know works and expand upon it. Build backlinks to it all the way through next Christmas for some nice keywords and you could make a pretty penny come next Xmas

Thats great man! I just went and commented on your lens. So does this mean that your girl is going to stay in the IM game? I just remember reading a post a while back saying you had three months to turn a profit. Thats awesome your makin sales though, I'm happy for ya man!

Thanks everyone. Yeh already have some lenses for other special days and a few others in the making. But I do have an idea for a site for next year if things turn out like I want them to.
@kamikazee I hav'nt got the check yet so to her its not real till its in my bank. Funny cause I have made money online before, sold sites and make some money via adsense but still online income is not real to her or the rest of the fam?
I must need to make like $5k a week for it to be real or something? anyways thats a different story

WOOOT WOOOT - First $100 day from yesterdays stats and still have 34 orders to be shipped out - including 4 kindle and this is all from this one lens lol.
Cant wait to check amazon stats for today - lens had over 3k visitors and over 500 amazon ad clicks
average daily conversion is around 6-7% ... I made a small change to it to try and get more kindle sales oprah image lol.

Almost $1k for this month.

Get rid of the Oprah image bro, Harpo Inc don't play and go after anyone touching their brands/DR.OZ included. The CPA world just went through tons of lawsuits from them for people using their image on landers, I'd consider this to be a third party lander, that small change to the page might get the lens closed at least and you under legal fire at most.

Just a friendly heads up, congrats on this phase, as others have said simply take this and apply it to other scenarios. Seasonal or not you've found a path to profit and it can be applied 1001 different ways (i'd probably hire a few VA's and mass duplicate what you just did in many verticals, seasonal holidays, and look for daily converters/hot new trendy terms).

Thanks for the heads up bro, just took it down. Don't want to lose this lens as its the only thing makin the $$$ right now.
I have a few on other special days but I have a big plan for something in 2011 just hoping other things pan out as well.

I set up a few quick niche blogs promoting popular stuff people are buying that I have an interest(easier to write about) and they also pay pretty good with amazon. See how they go.

Already made some plans with the paycheck - VA's included.

Wow great job man. I should have tried to monetize for christmas, but I didn't set anything up so I missed out. I only sold 1 item through Amazon and it was a cheap product so not a lot of money, but yea keep it up!
