First True Affiliate Sale

I've been working in IM for a few years... The catch? I'm usually behind the scenes. I'm writing compelling articles and building links for others. I'm usually too busy with my business to do things of my own. While I make a decent income with my clients, I really want some passive income.

So I recently dived in with an affiliate offer (One of Chri5123's product). I have several first page rankings and traffic is steadily increasing. I've made one sale (that's one sale out of about 65 clicks to the affiliate site). So not too bad I suppose. Very excited to have my first affiliate sale, though!

You know, I always wonder about writers, some slave their talents for dirt cheap, some charge accordingly and can't find enough work. .. .. . I always think "If I was doing writing, I would be motoring on my own campaigns at least 50% of the time vs. writing for others".

I think you'll find over time that being your own boss yet still link building for others while you both reap the rewards, is something that clickbank allows you to do well.

It's a great feeling isn't it? Just one lil' link, and it can make you money for years to come. Imagine a year from now when you, a seasoned writer, have xxx or x,xxx articles and links out there pushing great products with great teaser reads... I definitely think you should allocate some of your time and set yourself up with 2-3 products to promote/write about, you may just find yourself doubling/tripling your income within a month.

I thought you'd already been there done that and didn't find success so you stuck to servicing. If this is your first real sale, and you did it with 65 clicks you're onto something!

Wow great job! I am still waiting for my first affiliate sale. I haven't been doing much to drive traffic to my site so I'm going to work on getting traffic first. I guess just keep doing what you are doing and it will lead to more sales.

I've now had three sales. Not nearly as much as I'd hoped... but three sales when I didn't even know (until I checked my account)

Until now I had no idea these were your first few sales - already looked like you knew what you were doing

I also do a ton of writing promotion wise and NC is right, you will 80% of the time get more success writing for yourself, unless of course you have loads of clients etc...

Well done on the success, now scale it, rinse and repeat...

Seems to be like that in reverse in the UK - I call everyone mate, but when i sink a few down my local it goes from mate to mad c#*t
