This Week I Hit A Small Success So Easily !!!

Hello,
I am here to share a very minute success of mine. I am basically a part time affiliate marketer and earn quite a handsome amount. I believe in building sites and SEO them for further long term profits. I am usually not actively marketing anything other than SEOing for certain keywords. But few months back, I thought of bum marketing. Note, I am not speaking of the regular bum marketing, but a very focussed and quality specific bum marketing.

So what actually is the success I want to share here?
Well, its about bum marketing using a single article only. Yes you heard it right. Just a single article. I did not spend my time writing 50 articles a day and hoping to get traffic. Rather I just wrote a good article, registered at ezinearticles and submitted it. After it was accepted, I started building links to it using automated link buying sites and other methods like profile linking for about a month. I spent about $60.
Then slowly, my article started to rank in google for a few terms and brought me traffic which converts pretty well. Plz don't ask me about what linking programs I used, since I wont reveal it so easily ;-)

And for those who still have the hunger to know more, here's the details:
Niche: Won't say it
Traffic to article: about 120-180/day
Traffic to LP: about 25-35/day
Earnings: Atleast 1 sale/day (i am now making about $120/week on average)
Expenses: About $50/month towards buying and maintaining links
Total time taken: 30 minutes to write article and few hours for link buying/outsourcing+checking on stats every day!

I am sure $100/week isn't a great number at all, so why did I think to state about my little success here? b'cos of two things,
First I want to motivate that everybody can start making money with little consolidated efforts like me(believe me, it was my first article marketing and it succeeded in the first try itself! )
secondly, I want to emphasize that one should focus on quality rather than quantity.

Yeah, building backlinks to EzineArticles definitely works, but it just depends on what kind of keyword you are trying to rank for. Some long-tails are easy, even without getting links, but some are too competitive for just an article from EA.

$100 is perfect, an extra $5200 p/year!! Not bad man..

Now push for $50 p/day, then $100 p/day - Then in a little while aim for $1000 p/day You'll get there.

Congratz on the mini success... you just need to replicate it with each new article and gradually build things up from there.

Quality is always a good thing to aim for rather than quantity.

Yes since ezinearicles is a authority and aged website, you can straight plunge into massive linking right ahead. there's absolutely no sandboxing. And don't care even if google bans a particular article page since you can always write a new one and proceed further.
Infact I think ezinearicles is one of the best and safest place to try all your SEO manoevers... ;-)

the keyword is a broad term and it would be difficult to rank it with a separate domain. Its much easier and faster too to use ezinearticles instead.

About replicating this process:
Technically this should be the next step. But the problem lies with designing of perfect LP which as per my opinion is the most crucial step. You cannot do split testing on any LP with only 20-30 visitors from your ezine article. So I am waiting to discover a niche with a known converting LP and then promote it through EZA.

If only new .com could be ranked as easy as EZA articles... even if you build more links to it (10-20 hours worth of links), I think the improvement in the CTR (from your site to your site) will be worth it in the end. :|

Well done - as well - a simple directory site can get you the free backlinks you need - especially if the directory site has 5000+ links. Each page is set with your link in the footer and in the sidebar.

PHPLD is free (version 2) as well DP is loaded (bloated) with directory sites. I own a number of them and use them primarily for solid do-follow linking. You might spend $15 - $25 for a directory, I would then spend and additional $30 to get the newest version which operates like Wordpress. Then set and forget - you dont even have to accept links. Simply use the site to feature your own... ok - new thread coming up....

I understand your point very well. But the problem is that its very difficult to get a new site ranked as easily and as quickly as ezinearticles. Also you don't ever have to worry about getting your domain banned by google for doing deliberate SEO!
And ofcourse there's a risk with EZA to get your articles deleted, but why would they do so if you are writing an article within their terms and not doing anything to alert them? And even if they decide a harsh decision on you, then there are always other high authority sites to try for! Considering the benefits, I think its well worth to accept the disadvantage of low CTR.

Yep, in reality it's much easier to rank EZA article then fresh website. Plus...regarding low CTR, see it in a way where you presell with your article ! You may not get higher conversions if you get them from seoing your site with 100% CTR (they always on your site). In fact I bet conversions will be much higher from EZA!!! High CTR doesn't mean more sales, that's true for a lot of media. I had banners with lower CTR perforiming better in the end if they had more clear presell image+text.

In that case they read some expert on article directory, after realising you worth something they go to your page (or even directly to vendor page via your hoplink). CTR lower, but conversions much higher via that way cause they "softhen" being sent from independent source. Marketing 101.

And that's a good way to sell. Like it should. Quality over quantity. Have seen eza accounts with less than 200 articles but with close to 1mil, yep MILLION views.

People may go even for high compete keywords, I have seen EZA in a bit scummy niches rank top #1 in Google, but by tracking their articles backlinks, authors really did all sort of grey off-SEO It's not just bookmarking via Hubpages.
