Default How do you detox from IM/Work?

Well, this was inspired by Norb stating that he blows off steam by playing with Photoshop. [Closet nerd, right? ]

Anyways, what do you do to blow off steam after work, after a large campaign setup, etc?

I personally hit the gym. I let everything negative drain into the weights... and it's fun to watch kids cripple themselves messing with heavy weights that they shouldn't be messing with.

Oh, and I occasionally see the girlfriend, though she's currently tied with "Clean the litter box" on my "Big List O' Priorities".

Holy balls. That looks like it might've hurt! How did the surgery go, Norb? I could've sent you a basket with some oranges if I knew about this earlier

By the way, some strongman competitions are intense! Like, one guy was doing a lift, and one of the eyes popped because of the pressure on him. It wasn't like a "POP" pop, more like a bleed, but still, it popped.

Pretty sick stuff right there. Good way to scare people while getting fit yourself

Animate. Not serious 3D stuff, but there's a program called Pivot Stickfigure Animator. It's very silly, but very fun...

Before I got into IM stuff, I did this all day, and I'm currently ranked as a veteran animator (beginner -> intermediate -> Veteran -> Elite).

    Here's a recent one (it's actually a "joint", made with a friend)...

I am not a super-professional body-builder, but I do go to gym regularly and do some weight training

Plus I like cycling, and don't even ask me how I love video games...

Don't try to play with me CS 1.6

I play CS 1.6 too Except I can never find a server at 11pm because normal people sleep, and I just get tired of work. And I can't get laid by randoms anymore since the girlfriend and I got back together... AND she won't lay me right now quite yet. Wants the relationship "the right way this time around", meaning I get nothing until New Years... kay, sorry, end rant.

    LOL

If anyone cares, here's my thread over at DarkDemon, which is a forum dedicated to this stuff (lol).
    http://darkdemon.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25496

Most of my stuff is in there... Also, if you're gonna get really geek with me here, every couple of months there's something called the DarkDemon Collab and a huge amount of people submit their stuff, but the best 20 or so get in.

    http://ddcollab.com/

I'm in #4, #6 and the latest one, #7 (with the animation you've already seen, plus another one).

To get away I usually plan a small trip somewhere.

Or I go rent a lamborghini gallardo for a day and take my goodies from prop.215 (thank you cali) and head out into the desert to hit some wicked backroads with some great views.

Or my best detox is to goto my home state, Michigan and see how much shit has fallen there, which makes me get right back to work so I do not end up there again.

Or I just take my fiance and we go find some strippers (my fiance is a adult entertainer, no I will not and can not give her "stage name", sorry it will ruin a bunch of guy's fantasies if they know she is not and has not been single) , then we listen to stories the strippers have to say, which 9 times out of 10 are some crazy ass funny stories that make you wana shout "JERRY JERRY JERRY JERRY"

Hahaha, I can relate here. When I can't work for two days in a row out of laziness, I visit the area I grew up, on the other side of the city. It's a total ghetto, with some pretty shady people. That puts my ass right back in gear each time.
