I made my FIRST sale EVER! I made $100!

I have to thank NC for it because the amount of knowledge that i have gained from here so far is what enabled me to accomplish this!

Whats funny is I have only read up to Day 4 from the 30 Day BootCamp so far, I can only imagine whats to learn next.

Ok so heres how i did it....

I stumbled across a product that i noticed had incredible potential in selling, AND is still in pre-launch therefore giving even more incentive

I followed the directions I read and I applied to all those sites. given on day 2. I started posting up article reviewing all over the place, blogs, craiglists, etc.

Yesterday (7/20) I dove in head first into PPC with AdWords, This is my first campaign ever by the way. I went into AdWords because I had a free voucher so i figured hell what do i have to lose right.

Heres a tip when you write your keywords, misspell certain words on purpose, but only change one letter from one word with the letter next to it on the keyboard cuz some people type too fast and might hit that letter

Another thing i did since i had those free credits was I set the CPC high up to .35 at one point just to assure i was going to be viewed, and believe me i was viewed a lot.

I noticed I had put too many keywords that didnt really have to do with the product thats why i got so many impressions, I put those ones on pause now, dont really need those keywords unless i"m "desperate" for the attention

Another thing I suggest is to Buy AdWords credits on eBay, you can get them really cheap, The only thing is I advise you to be careful because those promo codes are usually for new accounts. You can create as many accounts as you want just be sure not to draw too much attention by making things different on the others (links, names, address etc.)

I left the computer do its thing and voila woke up this morning to the wonderful news!

Well that is pretty much it, how i got my first sale. I'm so excited i see this going a long way. All I have to do is make sure I'm putting it out there consistently!

Nice and fast - this is what I like to see, congrats. 1st sale is always like a dream come true, second sale proves you know wtf you're doing and it wasn't a fluke, 3rd sale shows you got what it takes (granted you made all 3 sales within a reasonable timeframe on the same campaign)...

Goodjob dude! You're already ahead of most marketers, some struggle for months and months with PPC. Keep at it, add negative keywords, cut out the keywords not converting and you'll do well!

UPDATE: Thanks guys, So its been a week so far and I havent gotten another sale yet, but I think I know why, The night I got the sale was supposed to be the last night before the official launch of the product, so I figure the person who bought it wanted to get in on the pre-launch deal and thats why they did it, Well they extended the pre-launch and since then I've been getting a lot of traffic, and I'm holding my adwords campaign and articles to that, but no one has bought the product, Now I've built up a pretty nice downline of 74 people and I'm assuming they are waiting for the launch date to near to purchase, if thats the case i will be very happy haha, anyways back to promoting, Thanks for the replies and help guys!

UPDATE: Ok so its been about 3 weeks into my AM career and I've made $700, I am definitely happy with that so far, but hey once you start getting money, you only want more and more!

Sounds like you are doing great. Did you use PPC to drive traffic to your own website? Or did you direct it to the actual sales page using your affiliate link? Which method converts better?

Unfortunately there is no cookie cutter standard. Each of you bring your own unique palette of marketing to the table. Different ads, different copy, graphics, landers, keys, etc. so everyone has different results. Best thing to do is split your traffic/efforts and test both to see what your skillset and style match up with. Sometimes direct is better, sometimes a full blown blog is better, sometimes no matter what the product just won't convert for you, sometimes it will only convert for you, test
