Although I haven't hit the killer pay dirt with amazon yet, I did add an additional tracking user name ID to my profile, so that when I do make an affiliate link, I choose my new user tracking name instead... (something along the lines of 'redirect') so that if someone looks at the url, it doesn't have anything out of place...

They let you have multiple tracking IDs which is helpful, but choose your names carefully - which could be said for most affiliate programs...
