Announcement Desperate Niche - Professional Sales Vid - Mad Bonus - Great Contest + Prize

Calling all Choppers - We are launching a Great product in a desperate niche (those are my favorites as an aff ) right now! (Only on NicheChoppers for the time being - Get them while they're hot).

This is what my buddy and I have been working on for a few months, and it turned out pretty sick if I may say so myself.

I bought this site + product from Ashley some time ago, because it had great potential at that time. Well we have taken advantage of that potential, took it out of long-page-sales-letter retro mode, to the new age of video marketing. We also pimped the product itself so it really overdelivers.

Without further ado, check it out here: Natural Sleeping Remedies

Furthermore, we have teamed up with Dan from SubliminalMP3s to supply a killer bonus.. Making this the instant #1 insomnia killing product in the CB marketplace. There is no competitor with this kind of professional site and product, or anything near it.

If you choose to promote us, we offer 75% commissions (of course), and you can check out our affiliate section here: Natural Sleeping Remedies - Affiliate Zone

In case you need any help promoting this, or setting up specific pages to suit your traffic or subscribers, let me know and we will happily set it up for you.

Also, we will be having a contest.

You probably agree that the sales vid is sexy... Want one for your own site/product?

We give away one custom made professional sales vid, made to any script that you provide (max 5 minutes) or we will work with you to make a script + vid. All you have to do, is be the best selling affiliate in the next 2 months (+ 3-5 days, because we are not launched on DP yet)

If there are one or more affiliates making over 50 sales in those 2 months, they will all get a sales video custom made. I know that may sound enthousiastic, but the product is sick and we believe it has massive potential. So we want to tell you up front that we will reward anyone who gives this launch a serious try.

But also any small affiliate/beginner/noob, we can help you to get a foot in the door promoting this.

So happy earning everyone, let me know if you need anything, and let's make this a huge success!

I'll of course be promoting my old product

PS.. If this hits FL4I or E4E level I expect a % haha

Looks really great man, nice job but increase the size of the background picture as it doesn't stretch across my 27"

I would advise getting your testimonial's to put a picture up of themselves, makes it look much better.

    What's conversions like?

Thanks guys! Yeah it has taken a while.. I'm very happy with how it turned out though.

We will be tweaking it some more over the next weeks, maybe add pics, not 100% sure yet. Thanks for noticing the background issue Will, we'll fix that.

I will post conversion stats when we have done some more PPC.

i like your suggestion for the image in the scrolling testimonials we set up. I'll get that done as soon as possible. I have to go speak at the university today, so sometime maybe this weekend it will be completed.

    thanks for the replies everyone.

First things first, that video CANNOT be hosted on youtube, put it on your own site. Once this video finishes, you'll see what I mean.

Otherwise things look good. Good luck with it and I hope it does well.

If you mean the 'related videos' there's actually an option in the embed to get rid of that.

And if you mean that people will try to fast forward through the video, that's not really a problem since they aren't doing a full length video skim (20-30 minutes instead of 5ish).

Plus go check some of the highest converting CB products and you'll see they're being hosted off of YT, I think there's even the bonus of people knowing youtube and maybe sub conciously making a connection.

So first things first, I'd elaborate on why this video CANNOT be hosted on youtube.

Also I've worked with bruusk in the past and will vouch (as I think all the forum regulars will) that his advice, tips and insight is always top notch.

It's worth promoting this product if not to make some money in the bank but to work with bruusk and converse with a cool guy and insightful marketer.

I'm not exactly sure why you took my advice to bruusk to heart but understand input on business is never a personal attack. I like bruusk and appreciate his contributions. But I'll elaborate a little more as to not be confused.

Yes, the first thing that becomes a problem is the related videos. The video IS the sales page, not just a small portion of it. Although there are some exceptions, a large majority of video sales pages are not hosted on YT. The ones that do use YT as a host do so for added views to their videos and eventual natural traffic through YT itself.

Also you might notice these sites that use YT are not simply a video sales page, but a long sales letter with video breaks between. I would say they can get away with a little leakage due to the video because there is continued reading/viewing directly after the video.

As with any sales page, the main objective is to make the sale. I think any distractions/leaks that could very easily be removed should be.

You have a person in buying mode, on a sales page looking for the cure to their ailment. You have taken them out of the browsing mind set. Why give them the notion or option of going back?

As for YT being a reference to make the buyer feel at ease, I wouldn't necessarily agree but I could see your point.

Thanks for your feedback You are right, we definitely have to kill the "related vids" at the end. It's very easy to do, but indeed we should have done it already.

Like Kon pointed out: some of the biggest sellers on CB use Youtube to host their vids (Magiworks, Magic Of Making Up, both ~300 gravity) so I don't really see a problem there, and we will stick with it.

We could of course host it ourselves, but I rather have peace of mind when it comes to reliable playback. And what Kon says about using the Youtube brand to look more familiar might also help (although I hadn't thought about that).

Thanks for the kind words Kon as well - I trust you will be promoting?

Thanks for elaborating. I don't think you are right about the leakage, but that's just my gut feeling about this. Of course if our analytics will show that a relatively large percentage people are checking Youtube instead of our buy button, we will switch to Amazon S3 or the like. One way or the other, it won't be a problem or if it is, we will be able to fix it easily.

Like I said we will remove the related vids, I would do it right now but I dont have the account details, will have to wait for Tommy to get back and fix that.

The end of the video - scroll down and order now...

what if the person is watching it on YouTube? - that was what I thought he meant why it couldn't be hosted on YouTube (unless you have an order now button below the video somehow on there :P)

Well if the person is watching it on Youtube, then all the traffic we get from that is extra right, not leakage.

I think with the last update, Youtube switched the description + link from the right hand to the bottom of the vid, so thats pretty accurate if we have a link to our site there. Click link below to order -> they click link and end up at our sales page, where they can indeed order.

Anyway, even though I appreciate the feedback, I don't want to turn this into a thread about the pros and cons of hosting sales vids on Youtube..

Like I said, we will monitor analytics closely. If it is a problem we will switch to other hosting option for sure.

bruusk - Nice product mate. But when someone watches the video and clicks on it, it opens the You tube video. Though Youtube hosting is the best and you should use proper options to disable the leaks. I had a 30% documented sales leak without the proper options set just after youtube decided to add a link on every video. (This happened in Jan-Feb 2009)

Some of the parameters you may want to add to the video to stop the leak.

To disable related videos, add a rel=0 parameter. I bet you already figured this out.
There is a parameter to automatically start the video, there is a parameter to loop the video as well.

For the Youtube link leak, search on how to add the following parameters.

    <param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" />
    <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="never" />

Narres - PM'ed, and sleep well

Thanks Vinruna, those are some great pointers that we can actually work with. I am not doing the tech stuff on this project (technoob) so I hope Tommy will be back soon to fix all of this..

The stuff on blocking the vid clickon to open on YT is invaluable, very much appreciated! That would have been a leak for sure.

Best post RE: video sales page so far, thanks a mil.

I'm late to the thread, and rather speechless Bru! Great facking job throughout! **Very curious to see how you convert on a short page like this.

    Hey!
Looks really nice. A few suggestions/ideas:
    1) with my next online celebrity book we had to split test the length of the sales video, and the shorter one converted better! a lot better.
I too suffer from sleeping disorders so I'm curious about this ebook but I got bored (and sleepy to be honest, quite funny) at 2m20sec of the video!
    2) the background of the website gets cut off on my screen (1920x1080) and (at least for me) this looks amateur.
    3) The sliding testimonials section is awesome, but I wanted to check out the others without waiting -> maybe a "previous/next" button would be cool so I can control the speed of the slides, go back, etc.

Good luck with this one, this is a very high quality product, congrats!

Thanks Norb Appreciate the praise, although most of it should go to my homie Tommy Niche Choppers VIP Earners Club - View Profile: tgrob who made the vid + redid the design.

I know you (Norb) don't need other people to do your vids, but in case anyone else does: Try Tommy, he's pro. (Also, you could just throw traffic at our offer and win a vid like that for free see contest details in initial post)

SirKhan: Thanks for the suggestions. From what I hear the past few days, the whole IM community has trouble sleeping Maybe we should try to JV with Frank Kern.

If I hear you right though, you say a shorter vid converted way better for you? Making it a bit longer was a conscious choice, I feared a short vid might not be enough "meat" to have people draw their wallets (since we also wanted to cut out the whole written sales page). But that was just a hunch, so if you have data that suggests otherwise we should definitely split test that. Was yours just a sales vid, or did you have a letter as well?

    2) Yeah the background issue was also mentioned by Willyboy. I am not touching any coding on this, so will have to wait for Tommy to get onto that. Although I have to say: Needs fixing of course, but it's mostly IM/web design crowd that has these obscenely huge screens, not normal home users. :P

    3) The longer they stay on the page, the higher the chance they'll buy, right? I mean, we could make it more convenient, but that doesnt mean it will be better converting. Like now it's all the rage to not have a slider in your vids, so people cant scroll to the end. Very inconvenient, but it works to get the sale. Considering to go that route also.

Thanks a bunch for the feedback though, not saying we won't implement, we'll definitely take it to heart and some we will split test.

Hi Bruusk - very nice - a couple of suggestions on the video -

    1. Get a pro to record - it sounds like KonCorp is reading from a script - no offense to KonCorp... but ... he knows... It just doesn't sound correct or authoratative - I think an older, more soothing voice would make proper points - the VO sounds too young and inexperienced doing this type of acting. (www(dot)voices(dot)com)

    2. The music is a tad overbearing - I dig the harp - but it is shadowing the VO -
"There are Two Rules For Success: 1. Don't tell all you know; and 2.......... "

Yes I agree with point 1 of bluffspot's. Maybe you could combine the split test of a shorter video with professional voice against the current version.
And yeah I know that you won't implement all the stuff we write here but you asked for opinions etc so we're giving you as much as we can so that you can decide what to implement and what not to. cheers

Yeah well Kon I knew it wasn't you I was agreeing to the second part that an older voice would be more authentic.

IC.. That must be why all TV commercials are VO'ed by the elderly.

Like Kon pointed out already, (and I did too.. you must have missed it while you read the thread) this vid was done by Tommy, who is a professional (went to university for stuff like this) and he's somewhere mid twenty.

Well actually.. If you go back you will see that I didn't ask for opinions at all. I just started this thread to inform you all of our launch. I am sure you got the impression that "I asked for it" by the sheer number of advice that's been coming our way.

I do appreciate some of the points that have been brought forward.

But on the other hand, all these unsollicited opinions I fear may take away from the power of the launch itself.

All of you are enthousiastic about the product but you offer some "tweaks" or opinions on how to better it. I am very happy with the product + sales page as is, as I stated in my initial post. Of course we will make some tweaks, because some valid points have been brought up.

But I don't want possible promoters to get the impression that we don't know our shit, because everyone in the forum feels like they have to throw advice at us/have another opinion on how to do things better. We are not noobs, we know why we made certain choices.

I am still very convinced that we have a killer product + sales page/vid here, and it will only get better. Once I have some hard conversion data I will post it.

So, everyone thanks for the nice comments for now, I appreciate everyones help. All of your suggestions will be considered, and some will be implemented.

From now on though, I think we are covered advise-wise, so I would prefer to only get feedback from people who are actually promoting/planning to promote Natural Sleeping Remedies.

Most advice in this thread is theoretical. Although, I do agree with the YT leakage and I'm sure B would be watching for it. One can only speculate what will work and won't, via their personal experiences, but the truth of the matter is -- every product is different. What could have improved your conversion rate might not for another product. It's a guessing game no matter what product you shovel/push out.

Put your confidence in B and his team, he'll make it work.

Well then it would be good if someone (Ash?) would clean up this thread, bruusk already knows the tips and the thread can focus on the product launch and other related matters from now on.

Youtube is okay, it's can be considered an option, but it has its downsides.

Videos do get removed from youtube, even valid non-spam videos can get removed at any point. I had that problem with my magniwork videos, they got removed from youtube, I reuploaded them.. got removed again, don't know why.

So I'm playing my videos from within the site and it works great this way, only downside is that it eats up a quite a bit more bandwidth this way.

If you're so set on it, you could use youtube, but I believe there are better alternatives.

I think it's good for potential members who want to be vendors - They will learn a lot from this thread! IMO

    Amazon S3 is pretty cheap...

@bruusk - great product, very nicely done. Sales vid is also very pro. Good luck with it!

    Thanks Ripped, and tgrpublishing

We decided to cut out the youtube hosting. Even if we think it's fine, we don't want to rub possible affiliates the wrong way.

So go check it out.. Looks even slicker now, and make sure to scroll to the end.. We added a little extra cool feature once the vid is finished

Nice work man. I'd also like to see what kind of conversion rates such a short page will bring about.

I have seen many such short video sales pages lately. I think you should add some more text for the people who don't have high speed connections.

Looks great Brrusky , great work. Took a second lok at it and I really think you nailed it. Every niche has a perspective and this niche as you said is "desperate" meaning if they are deprived of sleep their focus is probably shot.

Meaning a long sales letter would work against the product. You condensed it , got the point through, explained what the product is solving and offered a surplus that will work immediately without an effort ( the bonus ). As an outsider in this niche, if I was slkeep deprived, I would try this.

Great work. May it be your catalyst
