I just wanted to share a tip I have been using for over a month now.

You can get a Comodo PositiveSSL Cert for only $2.98 (first year only)

All you have to do is goto Namecheap.com , purchase a throwaway .info which is only $2.98 (first year only)

Once you have that in your cart select the option for the Free Comodo PositiveSSL Cert , then checkout and pay.

Now you have a SSL cert which you can setup for any domain you wish, it does not have to be used with the .info you purchased.

This adds some authority to your site, one way I use this is I put the SSL Seal at the sites footer, but when clicked it will take you to the SSL version of your site, which is a LOT better then just putting the seal on your site with no real SSL.

Only thing about namecheap is you have to fund your account with a min of $7.xx , but if you are like me and have leftover funds this works great!
