Introduction Posts Hi from British Columbia

    Hi everyone

My name is Shelby, and I have decided to join this community at the recommendation of Vadym. There is a lot of information to go through here-which is good!

A little about myself- I am married and with myself included have a family of five. I became interested in the whole "internet marketing" thing about a year ago. My wife and I had our first child together, and we shared the leave to raise him (I'm in Canada, and the parents can share a paid leave of a year from work). I was unhappy at my job at the time and started looking into alternatives online. I eventually ended up at "Wealthy Affiliate".

Since then I have joined lists from Vadym (a member here I believe), PotPieGirl, Travis Sago, and others. I'm not sure what those names mean in this community, but all are very well respected at WA.

I thought I'd give this site a try as I needed something new- a new perspective. WA has been great, but I needed a bit of a change and some new input. I can already tell things are somewhat different here.

But I just wanted to do my "intro" and say hi to everyone. I do know some things, but still pretty much consider myself a "noob". I was following the "Article Marketing/Bum Marketing route with WA, and made a few sales (literally).....now I'm not too sure what I'm doing lol. I will poke around some more tomorrow and plan a course of action and go from there.

Nice to be here! Talk with you all soon........

    Heya.

    * We need to get you a new username, unless that's centimental or you want that much anonymity?

    * Kinda really interested in your perspective of our house here compared to WA. Dunno many that are there and never went but it's also private/paid/has a curriculum etc. < I'm not asking you to praise our forum, or be sensitive either - feel free to tell it like it is in a week or so once you get through enough content that you can make a solid comparison. If not publically feel free to PM me please.

All those names are familiar actually, once you're in enough forums you'll see tons of overlap - luckily no DP/WF influence here and it's straight goods/no upsells - just a VIP section which you get into via respect for contributing and being transparent.

You might see the odd scuffle, bad business exposed, truths about marketing you might not see elsewhere, and perhaps a bit of an intimidating atmosphere here compared to most but we applaud just being real/within reason instead of always having your marketing cap on. One thing we do not do here no matter what - is try to sell to each other (i mean the whole 'i made xx,xxx pm me for discounts only x copies left', you WILL find BST that is well filtered and not too active because only good/greats get posted, and a launch section which also only comes from those that have mega experience and can bring a good offer to the group. Even then they are manually approved and not all/many get in.

    I'm rambling, welcome!

Lower mainland here, as you could guess with my avatar. Para Olympics going on now.
Welcome to what we refer to as the Niche Choppers Family. I am sure as you find your way around you will find a lot of golden nuggets here and tutorials coming to you from left to right. That 30 day thing Norb put up is really the foundation you can build your career on... So have a look around - start - And don't look back.

    Hey Shelby,

    Great to see you here!

Yeah, this forum has a different beat than WA, in that you can actually learn advanced marketing here. WA is a newbie forum, whereas NC is a forum for ALL levels.

Plus, since we're pretty tight knit here, the help's probably better here than WA.

    Welcome to the fam!
Cool signature pending = I'm waiting for someone to say something stupid so I can quote it.

Thank You Big Time! Re: Hi from British Columbia

    Thanks for the welcome guys....

Norb, already I'm feeling more welcome in this community. The fact that YOU actually replied to my post and want my input....Kyle and Carson never replied to any of my posts lol. I'm not sure if it's because the site is too big for them to reply to everyone, but it sure is nice to be welcomed by the big guy himself. Automatic points from me right there for whatever it's worth.

I would be happy to relay to you my feelings about NC compared to WA, after I have a bit more of a chance to look around. I am working full time, and when I get home my 20 month old doesn't sit still long enough to enable me to actually sit down at the computer for any length of time. Then there's the older two kids as well! I have to wait until my wife and I actually get days off together! But anyways....

I think I'll keep my user name. It isn't just a random number that I picked out of my head. It has some significance, and I use it elsewhere online quite frequently. I don't have any desire to be anonymous, I just want to stick with what I already use.

Thanks again, and I'll get back to you shortly!
