    Default Your Top 10 Films

A tad bored this morn as I sit and write another batch of words - so - thought a break may be in order - I'm researching/writing some IMDB stuff and started thinking about the films I could watch over and over - yeah my list changes as some movies are released, but then you dig on an oldie and it totally changes the way you look at them.

Take "Bedazzled" for instance - the new version is awful, I wouldn't have even taken a look at the original film had it not been for doing a little research into Cook's work.

Now then, if you go to IMDB and do a lookup on your film, have a peak at the taglines - some of them are pure gold.

Rainy day? Tired of pounding the keyboard? Tell you what - I'll watch one of yours if you watch one of mine -

Based on 1. Storyline 2. Cinematography 3. Concept

List Your Top Ten Films in No Particular Order:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Papillon (1973, McQueen, Hoffman)
    2. Bedazzled (1967 Cook, Moore)
    3. The Great Escape (1963 McQueen, Garner, Attenborough)
    4. Sin City (2005 Rourke, Del Toro, Alba)
    5. Snatch (2000 Statham, Del Toro, Pitt)
    6. 12 Angry Men (1957 Fonda, Marshall, Cobb)
    7. Kung Fu Hustle (2005 Chow, Yuen, Lam)
    8. Hair (1979 Savage, Williams, D'Angelo)
    9. The Italian Job (1969 Caine, Coward, Hill)
    10. No Country For Old Men (2007 Jones, Barden, Brolin)

To give you some ideas of smooth runners Up: The Dirty Dozen, Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, Castaway (Hanks), Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Midnight Run, Evil Dead (trilogy), Something About Mary, The Hangover, French Connection, Monty Python & The Holy Grail, Monty Python Life of Brian, Christmas Story, Breakfast Club, Clockwork Orange, Kentucky Fried Movie, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Easyrider, Ferris Bullers Day Off, The Taking of Pelham 123 (original), Donnie Darko, The Sixth Sense, Trainspotting, Pulp Fiction ~

hmmm proper cant think of 10 for definite though....

    1) Godfather
    2) Godfather 2
    3) Disney's Aladdin (I'm 21 now and I still love this film)

There's a whole load of other films that I love but cannot possibly rank, The Casino, Goodfellas, Braveheart, Ned Kelly, Hart's War, Shawshank Redemption, Godfather 3.

Don't think I could make a top ten, there's soooo many amazing films out there.

Although, Idid watch 'Shutter Island' yesterday. My advice, stay away - it's terrible!
