So just checking through my ezinearticles account for the batch of articles I submitted last week because I usually get a nice chunk of change off every batch but this week I've had surprisingly few sales.

So i logs in happy enough but I see that all of my articles have had 0 clicks. Strange I think to myself there must be some mistake with their stats. But being the confused s.o.b I am I click on to one of articles read through to the bottom just to notice:

"to grab a copy of my free report **removed get your own niches ** click here"

notice anything there? if you click where it says click here it does nothing! Apparently I forgot to put the links back to my site in any of my articles! What a waste of time effort and money that was!

So GOD DAMMIT JIMMY YOU ARE STOOOOPID AS HELLLLLLLL!!!


So now I have 'fessed up what are some of the mistakes you guys have made in this business? Some of you big guys must have some funny stories to share with us!

* Added a decimal point too late on adwords daily budget before, forgot about it until the next day - hurrr (or it might have been on a keyword bid not daily limit = whatever it was a four figure mistake).

* Had launches where my server crapped out/lost huge from emailers from jv's that day - durrr

* Setup wrong aff links back in my day and burned through a few bills before noticing in my data (or lack of).

* Had a domain scooped from me cause I was dumb enough to let it expire and go public

* I could go on.

I broke my #1 rule a while back trying to woo a client to get at another client -

I didn't listen to my inner voice telling me to stick by my most important rule - 50% pre-payment. Yeah - got burned, but not twice. Yes got the other client... but.

For those out there - if you are going to build a site or write a book for someone - go buy the domain name you are working on. Once the sale is final then transfer -

My biggest mistake that I will regret for the rest of my life: listening to others when it comes to IM. I built a huge network based on the words of some "friends" without any experience and guess what it didn't live up to my expectations. Lesson learned don't listen to ANYONE when it comes to "how much do you earn when doing IM"...
