Introduction Posts Hello from Hertfordshire, UK

Hi and good morning from the UK. It's cold here but there is a furnace burning inside me. I've just signed up and am very keen to learn. Having dabbled in online marketing for a number of years without really focussing on methodology and structured training, I was attracted by the training on offer and Norb's enthusiasm / straight talking.

I have to be totally honest, my dabbling in online marketing / affiliation has lacked direction thus far. I followed a SiteSell course in 2006 and just didn't follow through with it. My weakness? I can talk the talk, but sometimes don't walk the walk. I procrastinate too much. Outside of online activities my background is 30 years in customer service, lately five years in complaints in the UK financial sector.

It's a tough job but I love it. I love customers. I get a huge buzz from resolving complex complaints and getting great feedback from the people I help. I am very target orientated and am one of my workplaces highest achievers. Right - that's me and a short introduction. I have my coffee by my side and my phone on silent. The plan is to get stuck into the forums today. It's the first day and the thoughts are all positive, mindset = strong and focussed. I'm looking forward to making new friends and new contacts. My ears and eyes are open. Rob

Really good thanks Dan. I'm often in Watford. My allotted task for the day is finding my way around the forums. I'm going good. Are you working full time online or do you have another day job?

    Welcome to the forums, Rob.

If you can find it in yourself to get on task and stay on task you'll be able to find yourself in success. Take a look at the 30 Day Challenge for sure. There's a lot of great information there that can get you off your feet and headed in the right direction.

Oooh great, another UK member Welcome - I think most peopel can relate to your procrastination / dabbling patterns, we have all been there at some point I think, but I think the real change comes when you just say "enough is enough" and make a firm commitment to pursue it all out.

    Good luck! Dan

    Welcome Rob

I agree with everything said above, my biggest weakness is procrastination too. The problem is once you get an automated income you get a little complacent.

I know with more effort and focus I could improve on the income I have but just never get around to it, too much else going on.

Good Luck with doing a better job than me.
