?? I dun get it.....?? What Would You Do With $3K To invest in Your Online Business?

Ok guys, I know I haven't posted for a while, I'm a bit busy "outside" LOL and I'm trying to leverage my offline activities with my online life, anyway, I'm currently running some campaigns via PPV, still learning tho, I want to quit my day job and come back to Internet Marketing, I'm not a noob, most of you know me and know I've been around for a while.

So the thing is I want to become a full time IM ...again LOL and just focus on this, but before quitting my day job , I'd like to have a solid online business, so the question here is, what would you do if you had $3,000 USD to invest in your online business, or create a new one from scratch, what would you do? Please let me know what you think

    Thanks guys!

    Cheers!

I would give it to Will for his birthday and hope that he is kind enough to give you it back in the future with a little extra on top as a thank you present

In all seriousness though, it seems you want to ensure you have a stable online business established first then why not focus on recurring incomes either membership sites or recurring commissions. Just look at the forums and see what is in demand at the moment.

You know what I would do because I am doing it, however another business opportunity I would do, would be to create digital products of the highest quality in both information, design and support add them to Clickbank and create a brand around a market.

For example, the IM niche, creating several amazingly amazing products throughout this market by sub-niching markets within and targeting these. Use all the products to leverage people to one main site which would in the future be seen as a god in the IM market for high quality products, build a list, start creating software and hey presto...

That's just what I would do.

Have you considered offline/iRL investments?. We all have to do it sometime and the sooner you get to grips with your basics, the better.

Hey guys! thanks for your ideas, yes, well, I'd like to focus more on an IM business since, I'm about to start my own offline adventure already, look, I've partnered with one of the most recognized and popular businessmen in the footwear and fashion industry here in Mx and we're going to launch our own Footwear brand so it is a great project, but I want to diversify :P LOL

P.S If you have a good idea for a brand name for our new footwear co, just let me know and I'll make sure you receive a super special and exclusive pair of shoes. LOL

    Cheers!

    @OP:

The one thing that's important for new business is stability. Work as hard as possible at the beginning to produce a stable income, even if it's not much. Then you can start to take more risks without so much risk, if you see what I mean

As for exactly what to do with the money... working online is pretty cheap. There aren't really many overheads except hosting and domain names. Obviously you could spend the money on graphic designers, copywriters or informational products, but since you've only got $3k I'd say try and do as much as possible yourself.

So what would I do? I'd be very tempted to try buying an existing site to give myself something to start with. Improving something that is half assed is easier than starting from scratch, I reckon.

Works great as a cross-sell for anything new-age, spiritual, quasi-religious, psychic/astrology or slightly wacky.

You could try to create a product from scratch, but obviously there won't be any guarantee that you will get the money back, because you won't know if it converts or not, unless you test.

In any case, you could resell a complete product afterwards.

    ^^That.

I would go on Flippa and start to browser for profitable internet businesses, watchlist all of them, do the due diligence then after I filtered them re-check refilter, ask the sellers annoying questions and then buy something that has potential but the current owner is a n00b.

I would invest it into paying content writers, article writers, and basic seo services. I would take the step up to a more strategic level, plan sites out, overall goals, and get someone else to create the content (which would save me 100s of hours).

I would say PPC, and if you have products / consistent sites that make money for you guaranteed based on steady traffic then I would possibly buy more PPC traffic to make more money, but if you don't have this then I would invest it in creating new sites / a site and getting content written - purely because imo this is the area that takes all of my time and once a site got profitable it doesn't take so much time to setup ppc.. You only have so much time in the day, so what you spend doing lower level stuff like writing naff articles for backlinks costs you time in forging relationships with people, networking, creating JVs, or adding core elements to your businesses..
