Default What Does Niche Choppers Mean To You?

For the last couple of weeks I have been thinking about what NC means to me.

By that I mean , how this forum has influenced my personal life, my business outlook and profitability, my knowledge of the Internet marketing industry in a whole and affiliate marketing in special.
Even the like and dislike of certain unknown forum members.

The post by JIMZ in an other tread brought it all back to the forefront and made me decide to take the time to post my experience with this "NC Family" and the impact it had on me.

The point of this is to also ask all of you: What Does Niche Choppers Mean To You?

PERSONAL LIFE: One of the things that my membership to Niche choppers has done for me is given me a forum addiction that I have given the affectionate name of "Cowenites" after a well known forum addict.
Thank God my addiction is not that bad yet, only NC and some investment forums. One of the first thing I do in the morning is to go on NC to look, and comment, on the new postings.
If I came across a marketing, seo, ppc or whatever type of problem the day before I go and look if I can find te solution in one off the threads. Most of the time it is there, if not then there is always google, or put up a post.

CONCLUSION: It has given me a source of valuable information (Free after paid membership) and at the same time the NC members gave me more drive and focus on my marketing and targeting efforts. Last but not least it gives me something to do during breakfast besides eating.

BUSINESS/PROFITS: Having told you above that the NC members gave me more drive and focus on my marketing and targeting efforts there is only left to say that my business increased to such a volume that I had no choice and had to take the step to outsource.
That in its self is a step that takes some hesitation but was/is well worth it for me in the end.

    CONCLUSION: LOVE IT...DO IT

LIKE/DISLIKE: First let me state that I do not know any one in the NC Family personally. Having said that, it is my opinion that it is almost impossible in life as well as in a forum to "like" everyone equally.
The strange thing is that not only the writing in the post but also the avatar and name that was selected plays a roll in the mental picture that I, and I think most of us, form of that person.
There a numerous people on NC that send a confusing message to me via the three for mentioned criteria that I apply I can not tell whether you are fish or fowl so to speak.
Do you need to change that...Hell no, that is what makes it interesting to figure out and besides that is my problem, not yours.

CONCLUSION: Do I dislike anyone?...No. Do I like some more then others?...Yes, don't you?

What I do see in the forum is that it is only a small group of the membership that are the one's giving the information and doing the postings. That is unfortunately the norm I understand...to bad.

FINALLY: I "was" active on DP WF in the past. So I have no problem stating that Niche Choppers kicks ass and that I am proud to be a member.

PS: If they don't kick me off after this post.

PPS: Don't forget to post what this forum has done for you.

    Burn him at the stake!

And I do take that avatar mention personal :P

But as far as NC goes, here's what it does for me:

I tend to be somewhat secluded in general, so the escape from forced interaction is one of the biggest perks of IM for me. Me, the bath robe, and the good ol' PC getting cash together.

On the forum, I am still a bit hyper sensitive to what people think of what I write, but it still beats meeting people in person by a stretch. So it gives me a podium to vent/express myself in a tolerable way.

RE liking people: I dont think I am very likable, but I dont like most people in return. Just not that social. I try to help out some newbies for karma or just to make myself feel good.

Besides, or on top of that, I have met some Really cool people here who I do projects with, and have really became friends with, who I speak to on a nearly daily basis. Thats the biggest thing I got out of this forum. And the thing that will allow me to grow my biz 1000% (tenfold) in this year, which is my goal.

    While having great fun.

We live in interesting times, and NC even if it would crash and burn right now, will have contributed to my success and well being quite substantially.

I couldn't believe myself that I would ever leave DP (4k+ posts) and move to NC forum, especially when NC was only taking off in summer 2008.

But now, I don't even remember when was the last time I visited DP forum, lol

Same as Narres, I visit NC every day to see what's what and help out people whenever I can. I guess, it's a place where I can share my knowledge with others and also get help and advice in return, without pitching me some crappy products.

Friendly atmoshpere, honest people and a great place to be!

Many of you know that when I came here I was in a bit of a desperate state. I received some great information and it kick started my IM activities.

For me, this is a place that I can vent, relax, and leech info, and contribute. I am still not really interested in interacting in the public and my days of socializing IRL may be over.

I have a goal and I am sticking to it. I just purchased 50 acres (paid less than $10K) in a very remote area of Arizona and I have an aerial picture of it on my wall. it is my goal that in less than 10 years there will be a small cabin on that land that is completely self sustained - well for water, solar and wind for electricity, satellite for cable and internet.

I live really cheaply and save almost everything that I make. I have cut my expenses to less than $1200 per month and the rest gets socked away.

Thanks to this place and the knowledge and encouragement that I have gotten, I think I might just be able to pull this off.

For me NC is kinda like an Explorer's Club. Now for those of you that don't know what an Explorer's Club is I suggest you read Around the World in 80 Days or Journey to the Center of the Earth both by Jules Verne.
For those not willing to expand their library, an Explorers's Club is formed by a group of gentlemen (and in modern times, ladies) to gather and share Ideas, create projects and relive previous projects in the field of Exploration and other similar activities. It is from these organizations that funds were raised to finance such projects as finding the "Northwest Passage", the North and South Poles and many attempts at summiting Mt Everest (among others).

It was not unusual for an idea to be tossed out, kicked around by the membership and ulitmately declared worthy or foolhardy. Though healthy competition between members was encouraged, occasionally members would use ungentlemanly means to best an opponent. When discovered it often meant banishment from the group.

Older more experienced members were encouraged to share/mentor the new or younger members in establishing their first (and often several other) exploration. I imagine more than a few appreciated the help when forming their first trip down the Amazon River.

Does this sound like NC? I mean we aren't taking rafts down the Congo, but isn't AM/IM an adventure?

Today I have seen a conformation about my evaluation of Niche Choppers and its members.

The variation in the testimonials that I see here confirms that we all are different individuals
with needs that vary at much as our zip/postal code.

Although the road we take may vary in length and frustration, we all have the same goal in mind:...forfillment.
I love speeds by the way. Am thinking about doing some thing like that to but don't have to wait for the funds :-)

So, keep this tread alive as it is giving some great insight in what makes us tick.
