Launch plan for my new product selling site

Hey,
I'll be launching my own wordpress premium themes selling site in a few days. I'm thinking about this launch plan, let me know if agree or disagree or have useful ideas etc.

1) I gathered a list of 200 potentially interested, wordpress related sites, I'll contact them with our affiliate program and of course ask them to post a news about us.
2) Use PRWeb's service for larger scale recognition.
3) Get someone to push us to Digg & Stumbleupon frontpage with some smart trick (I mean making sure to give value for free so we won't be down-voted immediately...)

Anything else I could or should do?

Video marketing idea...

along the lines of the before/after shot for weight loss (or anything), you have a boring old website and no visitors. Then... after one of your templates is applied it comes to life. Obviously it will need the obligatory disclaimer and can be done in parody style or gimmicky style.

Think different. Think *company name* (as a slogan for the above type of vids).

Get the professional touch from *company name*

Not really sure what other video ideas I'd have atm as not sure what you're looking to do with the site exactly and who you intend to aim it at.

Sent a PM with another idea... but even more generic would be a plain old competition itself.

Yeah I know this is my 1,000th post and I blow it on something stupid. I will make it up to you guys but right now I really don't have time to write my "short ebook" post that will make y'all rich :-)

What do you think about sponsored reviews?
I got a quote for $300 on CarlOcab.com the guy receives 150k UV a month and is on 1st page for 'make money online'. Will G ban me for life if I buy a sponsored review? Should I ask them to make it nofollow or on the contrary should I just enjoy the link juice benefits?

I think your 3 ideas above are spot on. I know the only way that I've ever found premium wordpress themes is from other bloggers mentioning them. With this type of product, "word of mouth" advertising can't be beat. I know this is the primary way that bigger guys like Affiliate Theme promote their products.

As far as paid reviews, I'm not really sure how Google feels about this. Sorry, not much help there.

One other idea is to talk to some CPA networks and offer a premium theme to their publishers for free. Use it to build your brand and collect e-mail addresses. Then e-mail your list whenever you have a new theme come out. Affiliate Theme does this as well.
