My 1st $1000 day - I've come far! Kaching - Why it pays to know people and remember them!

    Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share with you one of the best days I've had so far selling products and why it was made possible through connections I have made!

Basically I went out with a couple of my friends a few weeks ago when we ran into someone I used to hang out with a few years back until he turned 21 and moved to Vegas. He was really into the poker scene when it hit big a few years back and did pretty well in some tournaments. Well long story short he ended up doing well in the poker scene but blew the rest of it on the lifestyle ie. blackjack and hookers and he came back home and is looking for money.

So I told him all about clickbank and everything and told him I would pay him £200 to write a guide on multi-table poker play (I could have paid him a lot less but I was pretty drunk and wanted to help the guy out).

Then on saturday he sent me the guide and I was faced with paying £200 with something I thought I would never use, until I remembered something...

About 1 year ago now I sold a network of sites to some fella, who I remembered had mentioned in passing that he had a huge list in the casino/poker niche so I thought I would email him see if he was interested; turned out he was and we knocked up an email to send out to his list that got sent sunday.

Ended up selling, as I write this, 412 copies at $17 a copy with 50/50 split inc paypal fees my end comes out around $3000, including the £200 I paid my friend I am still looking at a sizeable profit!

Anyway the whole point of this is to remind everyone to keep track of who you know and what they can do for you. If I hadn't remembered that I knew someone with a casino list then I would still be sitting here £200 down with a guide I didnt want!

And also remember even the most useless of friends could have skills you can tap up for some cash!

Now all I need to do is find a way to re-invest this money to make XX,XXX+

    Have a good one

Congrats on the success of that.

    Great piece of advice, too.

There's actually a book out that is a good read on the topic called The Little Black Book of Connections by Jeffrey Gitomer.

It's a big eye-opener realizing how many connections you COULD have had but lost that could've been a major asset.

    The book is awesome.

    Haha.

Well, I found it to be a very insightful read. They had it in our local Barnes & Noble store in the marketing section and I just happened to stumble upon it while looking through the lot.
