My 1st $500 day - blah!! Never thought I'd see this day!! Big $$$ Day for Me

I was expecting sales to be slow during the holidays but, in fact, they have been better than ever.

At the beginning of the week I made my first $200 day and hit just over $200 every day after.

Then, on Christmas day I had a record-shattering total.

I broke $486 on Christmas day alone. Not quite $500, but close enough!

I know there are people making much more than that, but for me that was MASSIVE.

And the day after Christmas I hit $408.

Now I'm sure these numbers won't stick and are just spiked due to the holiday but, nevertheless, they were a true spark of inspiration for me.

I have made a personal goal, a new years resolution per se, to achieve $500 a day steadily by March.

Internet marketing has been such a major breakthrough for my life.

3 months ago I lost my full-time job due to the economic status of the area and was unable to find another job because of the same.

I have a baby boy due in just a few weeks.

Needless to say, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to support my family.

My first month in IM, I pulled off almost $2,000. That was last month.

This month I'm already just over $3,000.

This has truly been a life-changing point in my life. I've never made over $1600 a month. I'm 21 and only have a high school diploma so I wasn't able to get a decent paying job at all.

I've always wanted to make something of my life by making use of the internet but I never thought it would turn out so well, so quickly.

Nor did I think it would be through internet marketing. I've always been more of a writer than a salesman but, apparently, my writing has proven to be a massive tool in transitioning into being an internet marketer.

Anyway, now that I've made this longer than most will read, I shall close it up!

If you're struggling like I was, there is hope. You can do this. I honestly believe anyone could do this. There isn't anything hard about it. It's just hard, time-consuming, work. But it is well worth the effort.

    Cheers.

Thanks, it obviously worked for me because I busted balls these past couple months!

It was rough but when I started to see sales come in, I stuck with it and tripled my efforts and it's paid off so far.

    Thanks Bruusk.

I don't know if I'd go as far to say that I'm a natural. It could very well just be a stroke of luck!

And I've put a ton of time into it. I've had many days of 12+ hours.

And I was working 6 days out of the week until recently. Took a little break for the holidays.

But January is going to be a very busy month for me. I have many big moves planned and I'll be busting out the big guns and working my ass off to make sure I reach my goals.

    Hi My220x,

My current profits are purely from bum marketing.

I plan on starting to use PPC within the next week or so to test the waters with it, but what I've made so far is all from bum marketing.

Good going, man! Do you keep track of the amount of many articles / products / niches / websites / link building you've done so far?

Thanks Smitten. I have a select few products that bring in %90 of the income right now. The last time I totaled them up this was the result - 287 articles / 3 products / 2 niches / 3 websites / an ass load of link building lol.

I pretty much build links up all the time. If I have ANY spare time, I use it to toss in blog commenting and build new web 2.0 property to build links.

Lately I've been moving toward building up my niche sites and focusing on SEO for them. I still put out some articles but nowhere near as many as I was.

Great inspiration this thread. It IS still very easy, especially if you work yr ass off. (Big reminder to myself that I am still not working it hard enough although I make some good cash). You have surpassed me in a few months, and I have been at it for more than a year now.

To all new comers: In 10 years time this kind of thing will NOT be possible in my opinion. We are living in a rare age where we can still enjoy the birth of a new phenomenon. Nobody has ever had it THIS easy to make money in history.

Work it and profit, or shame on you (me).

I fully agree with the rest of your post - however I'm not sure about this part...

Tons of people said about 3-5 years ago was the "Golden Age" of IM and I think we all have a tendency to think our current time is special for some reason or another.

I would argue that in 10 years there will probably be some other way to make good money also.

Well 3-5 years ago it was probably EVEN easier. I wasnt there and I hate myself for it.. I mean, keyword stuffing your page to rank it, aaaargh how much easier does it get?

We don't have that now. It has become harder. Probably 100x more people trying. Keyword stuffing yr meta keywords, your page itself, etc wont do the trick.

But STILL.. Man its easy. The OP proves it, but my results prove it as well in a less overdrive version.

My prediction is that in 10 years time every niche and angle will have a "company" (maybe a team of people from forums like ours) that CONTROL the niche entirely.

I am already trying to setup authority sites for this purpose. I am going deep to capture a whole (sub)niche so I will have a chunk of the niche, or something sellable for great money.

IMO it wont be keyword sniping in 10 years from now. "Howtotrainyourgermansheppard.com" will be eaten by "howtotrainyourdog.com/germandsheppard"

    Opinions opinions..

I say grab property while you can, but also keep a lookout for some longer term stuff. Even if it takes you 10 years...

Keep a balance between quick cash and long term wealth.

    Thanks Capler.

As far as the 10 years from now hypothetical goes...

There are always going to be new trends and big things each and every decade. Therefore, there will always be room to make money.

Now, there's no telling where the internet could go in the next decade, but I think we still have the next 10 years to dominate the web.

As far as the difficulty of IM..

Bruusk, you couldn't be more right on target.

    This stuff is easy.

There's a lot to it, but it's nothing complicated. Making money through affiliate marketing is really a matter of whether you're just plain lazy or you actually get off your ass and get with it, simply put.

I see people who seem like they sit on forums such as DP and literally refresh the page every other minute, reading and commenting on threads related to making money and then they either do 10 minutes of work and expect riches or don't do jack and come back and complain about how it doesn't work. And it's pathetic.

Sure, you can find a good tip every once in a while on forums if you're lucky. Hell, you can even find a decent guide to get you started if you really look for it. But people read it and don't apply it.

And that's why they don't make money.

Everything I know about internet marketing is already laid out in black and white for all to see, but no one puts the time and effort needed into it in order to earn the cash they so desperately search for.

    Grats!!

This is inspiring. I'm sure you can reach your goal with the amount of effort you put in.

Yea there are so many guides available out there and also in this forum. Its just the matter of whether you put in into action or not. I even have the "CB" lesson videos. Got them for free lol. The videos and manuals are just so thorough. *CB not referring to clickbank ;-)

I really hope I can post a thread like this soon. :P

    Good luck mate!!

Aww, glad to hear about your success and your upcoming newborn. At this stage it is very important to continue to make short and long term goals for yourself.

Besides that, I would say start to keep track of everything you do. Make yourself accountable for your time, outsource with your extra income, set up an LLC or S-Corp for tax purposes when appropriate, and keep track of all the cash you spend, grow, expand, etc etc. It is very easy to become complacent with your current success in this business while there is still so much growth possible.

Otherwise, you are off to a great start, much better than myself when I first started. I definitely agree that most have information overload when they begin and don't actually take action. Way to show how it should be done.

    Thanks Jamie.

As far as the tracking goes..

I've started scheduling myself lately so that I get the most done in the least amount of time.

I always set aside x amount time for task 1, x amount for task 2, etc.

It's proving to be a great way to pace myself and I actually get much more done and am able to stay more focused that way.

I log quite a few hours mainly because I don't have much else to do at the moment and I need the cash! So making the time I put in as productive as possible is a high priority for me.

As I said, I'm on a little hiatus until the 1st of year just to relax, but, come January, I'll have tons to do.
