    Hello from HOT Arizona!

I am very new to this business and this is my first post, so bear with me.

We LOOOVE motorcycle racing and have always wanted to run a shop...but as we aren't there yet ($) we bought a racing website and hope to turn it into something really informative and profitable.

The site is www.ExclusiveBike.com and we are in the process of completely changing what the last person had on there. If you have any suggestions or things you'd like to see added...we'd love the feedback.

Looking forward to talking to you.

    Have a great day!

    Welcome EM!

There is a lot to keep in mind once you have purchased an existing site. Your site has pages indexed in Google and Yahoo, and a few links listed in Yahoo. Before you start changing things too much, you should ask yourself if the existing content is valuable…for example, is it driving in some traffic? You may just want to only change the theme, but leave the current content in place (with the same url’s)

The next thing you want to do is make sure you are posting fresh content, at least once or twice a week. Then start marketing the site to get more links and traffic. Article marketing would be one good way to go since you seem to have a passion around this topic.

Finally you need to figure out if there are any affiliate products that would appeal to your readers. You already have adsense, ebay and Amazon on the site. Unless you can drive huge traffic numbers, those will get you pennies not dollars. If revenue is your goal you will need to research and advertise something targeted specifically to your audience – preferably something a little different than what your readers could find easily in lots of other sites.

Welcome to the forum I love to ride, unfortunately my bike has been sitting in the garage all summer. I've gotta get fixed soon though because I'm going crazy without it!

I really like your name ExclusiveBike.com, but I think the site needs some work. Right now it just looks like a page filled with affiliate links. Maybe you could try turning it into a blog about exclusive bikes or something. Find some pictures of nice bikes on ebay to post and then use your affiliate link. Also, try NicheChopper's Get Ready To Pass product: http://www.getreadytopass.com It would probably fit well with your audience. Get some ads from http://nichechoppers.com/niche-produ...ass-guest.html And if I were you, I'd get rid of amazon and ebay links on the right and use something like Ridegear instead: http://www.ridegear.com/rg/affiliates.html

    Default Thanks!

I appreciate the feedback...that is exactly what we have in mind for the site...more of a blog about bikes and Moto Gp and AMA or world superbike, whatever comes up.

Having said that, I am struggling to figure out how to make that happen as all this is like speaking Latin to me. I've tried to check out RSS feeds, but all the good sites (MOTOGP.com, SPEEDTV.com, etc) are heavily copyrighted and I am stuck with what the previous owner had on there. I guess I can see why he sold the site.

Steep learning curve...but then that's why it's fun!!

Good luck getting the bike fixed!

    Have a great day!

Thanks for the tips...but in all honesty, we pretty much hate all the content! For some reason the last owner had Nascar news being streamed in daily...makes no sense as the name is Eclusive Bike...go figure!

Anyway, I would love to revamp the whole site, I just have to learn how to do it first.

    Have a great day!
