    Default Hello

Hello everyone. I am quiet excited to join this cool looking forum here. I am just starting out in affiliate marketing in hopes to have pocket money during college, or even more if possible . I just bought a domain yesterday called eliminateweight.info Not fully set-up yet but I have a landing page ready along with 3 articles to submit. Will see how that goes.

I really want to promote a product that you guys recommend on your site. So which product do you think will be the best for me? I will buy another domain and stick to the one I have and one that gets suggested. All other advice is very welcome! Can't wait for my first sale!! Thanks in advance!

    Hey welcome to the forum!

I haven't done anything in the weightloss niche yet so i don't have anything to comment about it.

I reckon the Forex products are really rocking it these days - maybe you could try promoting one of those?

Welcome to NC, Procode. I'm about as new to this game as you are, and recently launched a PPC campaign with Adwords. I'm trying to focus on the niches that have moderate competition, rather than the ones where all the big boys are already dominating (forex). I know I could probably find a way to get into it, but I also know that I can become a "big boy" by my own definition if I make a few sales in a niche that has an audience, but lacks huge competition.

Hope to hear about your first conversion! Not to mention my own!

So you think Forex niche is too saturated as well? Too much competition?

    Welcome to the forum!

The Forex niche isn't too saturated - nothing is too saturated. Quit thinking negatively!

Not to brag but if the Forex niche was so saturated how did I literally walk in with no experience and make just under $3,000 in Forex Tracer sales (just under $2,500 after some refunds) alone?

I repeat, nothing is too saturated. To prove this point one more time I'm working on a weight loss website; people are constantly saying it's "so saturated you can't make sales anymore" so I'm going to prove them wrong.

    Best of luck!

I agree with Joshua G that no market is too saturated...

    BUT...

There are certain methods of promotion that make it too expensive for new marketers (direct placement of ads on major sites, competing for top 3 positions on PPC for highly competitive terms and similar methods of promotion).

Even with the perception of saturation in Forex or Weigh Loss products, there are ways to get some traffic to a site. It then comes down to getting that traffic to convert... it might not be 1000s of visitors per day, but it can certainly add up to a few sales each month and achieve a decent part-time income if desired.

A key point would be to make use of any free methods of promotion rather than trying to directly compete with the 'big-boys' in search PPC campaigns... the content network can be a way to get some traffic using PPC, but don't rely on it making a long-term profit on its own... you will need to write some articles and generate some links into your landing page/site to grow your organic traffic as well.

My advice on any web design is just keep it simple. Make it easy for visitors to get to the merchants page and don't put too much information on any page - try and have at least 1 highly visible link to the merchant above the fold on any page.

Would it be a good idea to say for The Forex Tracer to use the landing page provided or create my own?

Hey Procode, welcome to the forum. I'm just starting to promote Forex Tracer also and I just build my first landing page for it. I used the premade landing page and it really looks awesome. Here it is if you wanna see an example: http://makecashwithforex.com

As people have shared their landing pages on here, I basically used some of the graphics from the supplied pages and made my own mini-site.

    http://www.forex-tracer.co.uk

I have edited pages a few times and likely will continue to edit different pages and maybe add a few more pages in time. The aim was to keep a similar template feeling on each page with a link to the merchant site as well as provide some information useful for novice traders.

Ty - but I am hopeless with creating graphics and did need to use some supplied images to make it work... also designed it in notepad lol :P

For your landing page it is ok... but you would need to include a couple more links:

    1. bottom of the page: Losing Weight Has Never Been So Simple! - Try It Now! (that should all be a hoplink to the product)

    2. The image at the top left should also be a hop link

    3. The images of Rick and Joanny are linking to wordpress pro? - are you trying to get affiliate commission from wordpress pro or are you trying to get it from the weight loss product? (I clicked it to see where it went and it isn't relevant to the product)... not sure, but I would have the images link to the product sales page with your hoplink

    - also Ricky and Joanny... I didn't see them on the sales page for the product (are they images about a different product?)

Overall, the landing page is ok... but you could lose potential buyers if they clicked on the ricky and joanny picture.
