Introduction Posts Introduction - Click2Sell.EU team

    Hello fellow NC members,

I am Egidijus Andreika, general manager of Click2Sell.EU. Ok, enough of formalities I'm very excited to join this community and make contacts with Norb and our first merchant - Forex Phantom. I browsed this forum a bit and noticed that your community is quite different from every other available - I especially like that you share all the good knowledge and all the posts that I've read are informative, so everyone can find something here Great community!

Now... to continue my introduction: as you might know Click2Sell.EU is a merchant and affiliate marketing platform that allows you to sell all kinds of products - digital downloads, subscriptions and material products. I'm very glad that a few days ago Forex Phantom product was launched by you guys to test Click2Sell.EU system. We received an e-mail from Norb with some questions regarding our system's performance and whole working concept - such as cookie tracking mechanism, etc. After answering all his questions I was quite surprised to receive a very detailed reply with some constructive criticism, suggestions, thoughts and everything else. Unfortunately, 95+% of users do not share their opinion about how Click2Sell.EU could be improved. You know, the opinion "they will answer my questions using a pre-written letter" which comes from working with other systems is so strong, that it is actually quite difficult to get any feedback, although we try to encourage it in every way

Norb has invited us to join NicheChoppers community and even created a forum's subsection for Click2Sell, so that merchants and affiliates could discuss all things about Click2Sell.EU payment and affiliate management platform, share thoughts, experiences, promote new product launches and many other things.

Click2Sell.EU is a company that listens to its customers. We do care about your business success. Click2Sell.EU was created with a fellow marketer in mind and when we think that there is always a lot of room for us for improvement. That's why we encourage all our members to share their thoughts, problems and suggestions. This way we can receive very valuable suggestions and turn them into reality - adjust the system to exact merchant's and affiliate's needs.

So I would like to invite all NC members to check out Click2Sell.EU system, ask questions, share your thoughts and suggestions.

I'm glad that some of affiliates here shared their concerns about Click2Sell 1st-affiliate-link-credited rule. Norb told us all the arguments why you want to have the last affiliate link cookie working and there you have it. Yesterday we have adjusted our affiliate tracking system to credit the last affiliate link, so now you can promote Forex Phantom product without any fear of losing your commissions to the 1st affiliate.

We have also adjusted an affiliate's name display on checkout page regarding to Norb's comments, now it's more lighter and put at the bottom of the page.

We think that only by working together - one-on-one with top merchants and affiliates such as you guys we'll eventually have a great system suitable for your all your online business needs.

    Thank you and talk soon!

    Sincerely,
    Egidijus Andreika

    Welcome Egidijus,

It's great to have you here!

I read the topic about the emails between you guys, and it's fantastic to see such a good level of customer support.

As soon as Phantom launched, I started thinking about using C2S as an affiliate platform, because I have a few products up and coming too.

Please get involved in the forums, and speak your mind, as we will to you!

I have also upgraded you to a VIP member (Norb needs to make a new 'Merchant' image tab!)

Together, we can both help C2S, just as much as you can help us, as together we will achieve great success

    Thanks,

    Ashley

Welcome my friend. I too was rather suprised with you're replies to Norb's queries I am very glad that C2S listens to us (the affiliate and vendors) because this is what we want. Instead of receiving a generic reply we want personal touches, personal replies to make us feel listened to and appreciated.

It's even better when our queries get answered and changed according to our own personal feedback. I thank you for making the changes I really wanted to see the last cookie server feature and now we have it.

Also on the order page with the affiliate name being moved thats such a better placement for it.

I shall be testing the system and sending you some feedback over the next week or two.

Thank you for joining the NC forums great to have you here please join in our conversations

    Thanks,
    Will.

Did YOU know? Some questions about Click2Sell.EU answered

    Hi guys!

I've been checking the posts and saw some of your questions about Click2Sell.EU.
Now I would like to answer them one by one and explain everything clearly.
    1. Affiliate tracking - last-affiliate cookie rule.
I read some concerns expressed by fellow NC members about Click2Sell affiliate tracking mechanism. Some of you were really concerned that Click2Sell works on the 1st affiliate link meaning that the first affiliate is credited even though a customer enters the sales page via 2nd affiliate later. We had such system working until yesterday. Norb provided us with a lot of good information why affiliates need to have the last-affiliate-link cookie working. We discussed about the new tracking model with our team and decided that it's worth to implement it. So from now on we have the last-affiliate cookie rule working, meaning that if one affiliate brings a visitor to the sales page, but later that visitor visits the sales page via another affiliate link, the 2nd affiliate gets credited.

So everyone who were concerned about pay per click or e-mail marketing campaings - relax, now everything works just like you wanted
    2. Conversion rate on the Marketplace.
I read some affiliates were discussing conversion rates on Click2Sell.EU Marketplace and were shocked that some products have so low conversion rates. Actually the conversion rate figures on the Marketplace are not quite accurate. Well... We have implemented this indicator to allow affiliates to find products which have higher or lower conversion rates. However, the problem is that a product might do really well with a targetted traffic (i.e. pay per click traffic and convert at 2-4%), but there are some 'affiliates' who simply launch a '10000 robot visits' for their promotion campaign and such 'robots' never really order products. The result - conversion rate is low and innacurate.
There are also some products that has 10%+ conversion rate, but this rate is also not accurate as sometimes merchants place payment buttons without a visitor tracking code and this way direct visitors to the sales page are not recorded. This drives the conversion rates up.

Although many affiliates seem to like transparency of our marketplace, however we will remove conversion rates as they are simply misleading. Sometime in future we will try to develop a more robust conversion calculation.
    3. How Click2Sell.EU works and who pays out the affiliates?
I read some of your posts where you ask "who pays the affiliate?".
Currently Click2Sell.EU system has an internal payment mechanism to handle affiliate payments. At the beginning of each month all merchants get invoices to pay their affiliates for sales made in the whole previous month. Invoices have to be paid within 3 weeks. Each merchant have to pay affiliates via Click2Sell.EU system. Payment goes directly from merchant to affiliate, however, we track everything (if affiliate commissions were paid or no). If a merchant fails to pay his/her affiliate we simply ban the merchant from the system. Such system ensures that all affiliates are paid.

However, I would like to add that there are major developments going on Click2Sell.EU and within a few next months we will take over all affiliate commission payments ourselves. So there are a lot of great changes coming to Click2Sell.EU
I hope I explained everything clearly enough.
If you have more questions about Click2Sell.EU system, if you are looking for some features in the system, just drop a message here. I will explain everything!

    Cheers Egi!

Thanks for coming on board, and thanks again for choosing to work together to ensure your network improves and your member base grows with profitable merchants/affiliates like Niche Choppers

One thing I noticed that I would also change if I were you:

As a merchant: I can see who is promoting for me by FULL NAME, this is not so good, other then quality control. However with your system it's easy to ban any affiliate with one click (I really like that btw!) so I don't need to see their full name.

As an affiliate: Many affiliates LIKE to remain anonymous, silent earners, quietly doing their campaigns and not wanting anyone to know who they are/where they are etc. however with your system, my full name is fully exposed both to customers and to all merchants I promote for. And as a competing affiliate, I can quickly look up campaigns and know who owns them, and do tons of stuff with their name from there...

As a customer: Customers have absolutely no business knowing the affiliate by full name in my opinion. Moving the notification to the bottom is a good call, however it still shows a persons full name... again many affiliates won't want the general public seeing their name, and as a merchant I wouldn't want my affiliates full names disclosed either.

Solution? - I think you should replace all instances of the full name showing up with the affilites username like at most networks. This would also help as people could create usernames like 'purchase' or 'indexpage' or 'special-sale' so their affiliate links don't look so obvious...

**You guys taking care of ALL payments yourselves will also be a MAJOR step in the right direction in order to compete with the bigger players/networks. The main factor between PDC and CB is that 90% (imo) of affiliates will choose the network that pays them without any third party/merchant input or delay... Right now I can join your system, recruit a ton of affiliates, bank for 59 days, and take off with everyone's money - if I get kicked out of your network it's not a big deal, I'll just get a friend to put the next account under his/her name, and repeat... Affiliates are SCARED SHITLESS of independent/in-house affiliate programs, and tons of merchants at PDC/other digital networks prey on the weaknesses like above. It might be isolated incidents here and there, but the whole over all business model would improve and affiliates would come flocking once you do announce that change.

Thinking out loud, hopefully this makes sense to implement.
    N.

AshleyBaker: thanks for your warm words and the upgrade! You are very welcome to add some products into C2S system and if you would need any help, just drop a message to our support

willyboy104: it seems like we are all quite surprised. Like I said above, many users seem to want new features, changes and so on, but they don't tell that to anyone. Of course, when we are considering new features or changes we try to imagine ourselves in a merchant's or an affiliate's shoes, but naturally we can't cover all of their specific expectations or wishes. We love reading suggestions as they help us to develop such things that are really in demand and useful. So, Will, your feedback is eagerly awaited

Vadym: can you explain a bit more what exactly is not clear to you? The idea of our referral system is quite simple: you get 30% of what your referred people pay to us.
Now, as affiliates don't pay anything in C2S, it would seem that you couldn't earn anything by referring affiliates, however actually you will earn $1-$3 (that's our transaction fee) * 0.3 (referral commission) * X% (product's commission percentage). In other words, if a product's commission is 75% and you refer an affiliate who promotes that product, you will get $1-$3 * 0.3 * 0.75 from a sale. That's $0.23-$0.68 from each affiliate sale.
We couldn't pay more, because if both a merchant and an affiliate are referred, then we would need to pay a bit more than half of our total income from their sales.

hornetss: that's great to hear that we both think in the same way However, let me tell you that "moving to doing payments ourselves" is not as simple as it may sound at first. Actually it includes a lot of tricky things like major infrastructure changes, special accounting, special relations with banks and so on.

Norb: Actually when we were creating the system from the scratch, we wanted that merchants and affiliates would have a close relationship, could be able to contact each other easily and so on. In our opinion it's quite a negative thing when merchants have lots of affiliates and their sales, but don't know much about them. We think that being able to know your affiliates very well, being able to contact them when there is a need (an update of product, change in commission percentage, launch of new product, etc) can have a very great benefit to your Internet business. We don't want merchants and affiliates to be strangers. They have to be partners and we try to encourage that.
Of course, your mentioned points are valid, some affiliates had already told us that. Thus some time ago we included "Company/Business Name" into "My Profile" page. Whatever you write in that field it will be shown instead of your name. So it seems that the problem is already solved
Regarding taking affiliate payments. I already answered this point to hornetss. However, it's great to hear that you all like this idea. Let me just add that all the work related to this change began one year ago. It just shows how significant this change is from technical side of the system.

I was probably one of the first vendors of Click2Sell back in the days when they launched, and it's heartwarming to see that you guys continue to provide excellent customer support and unique and quality business. Don't forget to be the same (listening to your affiliate-vendor base, etc.) when you "reach the sky". Good business attitude and strategy is what will make people ask in 5 years: "Click..bank what?..." Wishing you all the bests, Mark

Click2sell. I have noticed sites like paydotcom allow products that are already in clickbank. Do you do this yourselves? Like me and my partner are about to launch a product towards clickbank (In one week) - And I was wondering if I could also add it in your marketplace?

No, we do not restrict anything. Just you need to make sure that Click2Sell and Clickbank payment buttons wouldn't be placed on the same page. But I guess that you already understand this.

So you're welcome to add your product

    Hi Egi.

While logged in, when paying affiliates, I see:

    Make payments

This is the page where you can see all payments related to your account: fees to Click2Sell, incoming/outgoing affiliate commissions.

In this section in the beginning of every month merchants receive invoices to pay Click2Sell fees and affiliate commissions for sales of the whole previous month. All new invoices have to be paid within 21 days.
    A few questions:

    1. so let's say the last sales were made on Sept. 30th. You write the merchants an invoice on Oct. 1st, and they must pay everyone out before the 21st. Since you are behind paypal (and most of your merchants do NOT have other processors hooked up, and I know nobody here will go through all that trouble, and look after two processors just to use your gateway easier with credit cards), and they allow up to 60 days for refunds, technically there is a 39 day loophole for people to take advantage of the system.

In a worst case scenario, let's say a good scammer/team comes along, signs up as an affiliate, creates 250 orders within the first month, waits to be paid out by the merchant, then gets everything refunded/chargedback etc. It might seem almost impossible however if a group of people did this in concert on a mass scale it could wipe out a publisher easily...? How does one protect themselves as a merchant to avoid paying out affiliates, only to get questionable refunds afterwards?

    2. Is there a mass pay option somewhere? I don't think paying out 100+ affiliates each month one at a time is convenient and right now that's all I see as an option in the payout page...? (Not sure if you've taken a test drive of PayDotCom.com, but within their platform you simply export a mass pay file from PDC, then import it into PayPal's MassPay page, and pay everyone with one shot and only a $1 fee instead of a fee for each transaction (if you haven't already, you really should implement this, right now it's going to cost $100+ ((actually way more, as some affiliates have a big amount of earnings and PP takes a %)) in fee's and 30min or so just to pay people?). I'm probably missing a few things and maybe didn't explore all the info on the site - if so apologies however some clarification/understanding re the above would be appreciated.

    Hope all else is well,
    NC.

    Hi Norb,

I'm awfully busy right now, so my answer will be a bit brief.

    1. In our current system version 100% of affiliate sales are reviewed. For security reasons I can't reveal more information about how/when/who/what is reviewed of each affiliate, but let me assure you that your mentioned the worst case scenario is extremely unlikely, actually impossible, because if someone is able to fool us with so many fraud sales, then I don't think he would spend his efforts in such schemes, he would just go hijacking bank systems for bigger profits In other words, a ratio of efforts to fool us and gained profit is way too small.

Speaking of smaller fraud cases, it is still very difficult for anyone to cheat in Click2Sell, as he would need to fake a lot of data what is not very realistic. And we continue to improve our security methods

In the new system version (which is being developed right now), each commission will have to go through a certain period in waiting mode (to see if there will be no refund for it). There will be a lot of flexible options to suit commission payments to your needs.

    2. Yes, of course we have Mass Pay option Just check the bottom of the same page you opened. There you will see a green "Mass Pay" button. You will need to save your PayPal API data and then all commission/fees payments will be done in just two clicks (no need to export some files and upload them somewhere).

Can anyone give me some click2sell contact info from someone that works there. I don't know how to contact them.

I just found a couple of sites there, that flat-out copied 2 of my sites without even changing up the name or the banner, and they put them on click2sell under a new domain
