Figured this is inevitable so I might as well be proactive about it...

Chris (from this forum) and I have teamed up to crank out a test product and see how it performs, and if it goes well we put it up on CB post tweaks/changes/maximizing conversions internally...

So we are now sitting at the testing stage, branding is complete, the final product is complete, popped our cherry within 30 clicks of an adwords campaign (better than predicted actually)... We're also doing internal bum campaigns initially to gage grass roots conversions as well.

Currently we're on our final split test of 5-10 sales before we consider this optimized/maximized and pay the approval fee to open it up to affiliates. If you guys would like a head start or if you're in this niche already, please get prepared for this one, we have a few tricks up our sleeve to both maximize and retain sales, and the product is now proven/converts well.

in todays tough economic climate it can make financial sense to get back with an ex or find love instead of spending loads more money down the pub and trawling nightclubs looking for that partner.

Well... some products that have increased sales during the recession are:

1. condoms = nights in rather than nights out = cheaper
2. womens cosmetics = small things as opposed to more expensive things like handbags
3. takeaway food compared to restaurant food

Some cool updates:

1. You'll be able to use the interface and demo as a lander - the flash calls your CBID from simple html that you will change on the page... Cupids Cure Challenge | Free Relationship Advice Software | Learn How To Get Your Ex Back Mega Fast! If you get to any buttons on the flash interface that prompt you to the site, you'll see a CBID attached, again this is controlled through the html on the page not the flash, so all of you will be able to simply upload the flash file to your server, and edit some html on your page and that's it.

2. Different sales pages - We just integrated a tool that will help all of you with your customization. We'll have 3-5 sales pages that you can send your traffic to with simple tweaks to your hoplink - coming soon.

3. We are stripping your .com?id=affname URL tails from your hoplinks when you send traffic.

4. We are allowing and showing you how to bypass our sales pages if you want to prompt users for payment with bypassing the sales page (so you can take them to checkout right from your page or your blog or your anything).

Cheers, we may be doing a soft launch of this in the next few days actually. No HUGE build up for this, it's going to grow naturally...

Good Q. While developing we made sure that this was AS EASY AS CLICKING A MOUSE - and the install is a piece of cake too so I don't think that will stand in our way - instead I think it will work for us. I've actually had the software submitted to Cnet and downloads.com - perhaps we might catch a wack of that demographic instead of repel it - time will tell.

UPDATE:

The affiliates page has been updated with tons of stuff. Still tweaking and tweaking so we're not on CB just yet but we're almost maximized!

Make note of the different sales pages we allow affiliates to use. Get used to the different hoplinks I now get affiliates to use (it hides your aff ID and allows you to send your traffic to any sales page we have - further it allows you to sell directly from YOUR lander/blog/site/theme directly to payment page and still get commission, all legally!).

Real small, but noticed it as I read through. Have been playing with the program for a little, it's kind of fun. Me and my girl both took the "Risk Meter Affair" and scored the same.

I do wonder how this will convert compared to the products that take the more personal approach ie. I was there, I lost my loved one, I am a relationship coach, etc etc.. I tried out the "Get your Ex" product when it first came out and got caught up with other projects. That didn't convert that well for me, but I guess I didn't give it an honest enough try.

Anywho.. I am going to throw together a landing page tonight, or maybe now. Will let everyone know how it plays out.

Also, the headlines are kind of hard on the eyes. it looks like you used Impact....Tahoma would be a lot easier on the eyes, which is what I used in the copy I sent over.

Anyway, I hope your project is profitable.

I know it's an artform to you, and you're after my best interest however yes I'm split testing a bunch of pages and have 11 versions of this now Still took your advice and changed up the headers to be a bit less 'impact'ful on the eyes

For those that don't know - Nicholas has been used as our copywriter for quite a few of the NC products... .. . .. He's now officially a part of the NC family and we're going to be creating a copywriting specials section where you can order your copy through the NC aff links for tracking and discounting in the near future.

This will be great for both publishers and affiliates alike. I promised to keep Nicholas busy, and he promised he would make sure he gets orders done on time on budget and top quality... UPDATE:

The program is off to a slow but steady start! Seeing many of you setting up campaigns and sending a few hops here and there but there is still nobody that has sent their 100 hops a day... Here are some screenies of both conversions and actual keys pulled from our stats.

Note the 387 hops are from our internal NCMedia hoplink which is the default that we used to explain the affiliate page assets... - so technically that should only be showing less than 10... The zero's are people that didn't send hops but still made sales because their CBID is in our bonus rotator (actually for this there only one - the other is a straight internal sale)...



Here are keywords that are actual and used to get to our site:



A few of you from here have converted mega fast however are just not getting quantity, admittingly this niche is huge but getting that traffic may seem a bit tough at first. Articles and mini-sites that are not branded with our graphics/look seem to be pulling ahead (apart from PPC'ers which is obvious).

** This is the internal account so this is what we make (so you're seeing the remainder 25% - aff's make $26 or so after CB fees

I added another lander last night (to download/edit/upload to your hosting) and will be adding more over time.

We're splitting and constantly updating with test results daily - meaning when you see things change on the front page or gender aimed pages, it's because they are outperforming what was there before... I think we're pretty much done with the splits for a while now and have it peaked. Still over time you'll see that we'll always be tweaking and taking in suggestions/feedback so please keep it coming.

I've been an affiliate in this niche off and on for the last 3 years.

One trick I've found that's a must-do is to segment between stage of the breakup as well as gender.

Thus my landing page would be an opt-in that first asks them what situation they are in (how it ended) and what type of person they are (husband, wife, girlfrined, boyfrined) and then give them the corresponding landing pitch that pre-sells products, etc. (as well as follow-up emails)

This really helps - but make sure to make this dead simple for them to fill-out otherwise you lose the traffic.
