My 1st $100 day - happy happy... First $100 Day

All of the sales came from a single twitter post. What is so great to me, is that all those sales came from FREE traffic, as opposed to PPC which I usually do.

Question... and this may be object of another thread. Regarding Twitter, and in you personal opinion, When would you think that a post can be considered a spam?

Let me rephrase the question... In my opinion it is OK to send affiliate links in a tweet (I ussually make a short history around it... remember Only 140 chars are available!). But how often? Once every 5, 10 or more tweets? More than once an hour, more than once every half an hour?

    I am Just curious
    Best Regards,

    German

depends on your profile. if you're just some guy posting affiliate links every day then im going to unfollow you. If i followed you because you offer updates and news and offers for a particular niche, then i would say that it is perfectly fine for you to pump out the links.

Depends on how you do it... but in most cases, do it VERY VERY rarely, and when you do, it better be SUPER FKACKING AWESOME stuff you're recommending.

A better strategy... make a dope blog post, and GIVE VALUE LIKE F***ING CRAZY... and in the end, recommend something cool to make their life easier.

Also, I almost forgot... CONGRATULATIONS!! Isn't it just awesome?! It SHOULD be blowing your ass away and you SHOULD be jumping around the house.

I Agree with everything posted. As far as content related post This is my strategy, it is not perfect, but right now it is how I use it, I it has allowed me to have a great amount of followers, btw

Grabbing some RSS Feed gotten from keyword related news on that niche, I usually use the allintitle:[Niche Keyword] or something like that, whenever i use google alerts.

Then I use an automated tool to feed a couple of post every hour... these are just informative posts... no sale links at all, so on a daily basis I am sending 24x2=48 informative AND highly targeted content tweets, plus any other relevant one That I find on my own. Bottom Line, with informative content you make your followers base to be "eager" to read your tweets, that's one of the principles I have seen using twitter.

Additionally I post my day to day whereabouts, and my blog new posts

Latelly, I have found that using yahoo pipes allows me to combine or 'join' several urls or feeds in one new feed, taking post from each of several rss in a cycle, that is even better that just using google alerts. I am testing, getting the feed from google alerts and feeding into a yahoo pipe, the final rss is going to be the pipe's

Affiliate links go once or twice a day

I agree with the previous post in the sense that it just pisses me off to see too much twitterers posting JUST these kind of links, however in order to enlarge your list of followers you need to have them.. unfortunatelly, as twitter grows so will spammers using twitter.

My point here is clear.. Twitter is a game of numbers, Just imagine if you get to the point of having... a million followers... I bet you will make some direct sales out of those, besides there are other bussiness models other than direct advertising that I can think of. but again twitter allows you to grow with certain rules

First of all, an account can have as many as 2000 followers once created
For to go over 2000 limit twitter sees your follower/following relation, basically it won't allow to go over 2000 (the following limit) if you don't have around 1850 followers
Then, from 2000-4000 you can follow up to 10% of your followers base, for example if you have 2500 followers, you will be able to follow 250 aditional ones
Finally, over 4000 followers this limit is a fixed daily amount of 500, for now

So every single follower helps, unless someone really pisses me off I will keep them.

Finally, from time to time I unfollow those that have not follow me back.

Even doing all that, twitter may block/suspend your account if they feel you grow too fast in too little time... and feels that you send just links in your tweets... Thats is why I stress very much in sending informative tweets the most, and making count the one(s) you care the most, the one making you money.

I found this thread because I was looking at all the posts you made gcastillo/german.

This thread is actually very informative. It's not something I am interested in because I dislike Twitter, but I can see that there are marketing opportunities there. And you have disclosed your strategy for this tactic generously.

However, I would appreciate it if you would not treat this forum as if it were your Twitter account. Posting -144 character replies on every thread without reading the actual post, or at least without adding any value to it, is spam, by my definition at least.

Thank you, and I wish you the best in your Twitter endeavours. Don't get me wrong, I think your input may be very valuable to anyone who is interested in Twitter. I just think that you are spamming topics that you are not interested in yourself, and thereby spamming people who are not interested in your topic.

If you can keep your posts confined to your own threads, everything has it's natural place and we can all live happily ever after.

This is just my personal opinion, I am not a moderator here, so don't take my word for it. It is just feedback from another forum user who is (slightly) annoyed by your recent postings.

I like the strategy. Thanks for letting us know. I will try it.
How about using a Preselling landing page instead of sending the user directly to the sales page ?
Congrats on making the $100 with just free traffic ... jump around
