New to proper affiliate marketing

Hi,

I am not new to the concept of affiliate marketing, but I am looking at doing proper affiliate marketing and therefore quite the greenhorn in that sense.

Normally I would say I am an article writer as I offer those services on digitalpoint forums, although my rates ensure I get very few people wanting my services... even though they are still verging on minimum wage or lower in the UK.

Anyway, my goals here are to:

1. Understand more about clickbank marketing in terms of choosing a good product and creating a successful campaign to sell it

2. Improve my copywriting/sale page writing knowledge

3. Eventually look at creating my own product or products to launch onto places like Clickbank - I just don't have any ideas yet for products where I could make them comprehensive enough to be able to offer attractive commission to affiliates ($40+).
