I started to learn Internet Marketing January and started to learn about PPC late January. Since PPC boosted my offline business's profit to more than 5 times the next month after I implemented it, it's my love for the first sight (this far only from Adwords & Facebook ads though)

I did PPC for all of my 5 sales (3 different products), and it happens that all of the sales came from Facebook Ads (something wrong with my Adwords campaign so today I hardly get impressions from it, only 1 click...) I'm spending less than $22 (both facebook and 1 adword click ) for it. So I guess, the profit is not exactly $100...

Since I have done a lot of trials and errors especially in Facebook ads (because not a lot of threads explaining this), I kinda know a little bit of the tricks like when the guideline says you can't put a word with all UPPERCASE LETTERS and there is a small pop up on the left that warns you while you're creating your ads saying that you might cross the guideline where in fact if you do it anyway, your ads will still be accepted, just gotta try things anyway and see what happens. I even got an ad that have 4 words all UPPERCASE and I don't see a lot of people do this (at least not in Indonesia)

I haven't use my own domain for these products yet, I just shoot them right to my hoplinks.

I haven't use blog and haven't used Autoresponder yet either (I haven't got myself an autoresponder account yet, but I will in the near future because I'm trying to build my own weight loss sales letter but in Indonesian, but still trying to piece things together and might need help here )

Thanks mate. Don't worry, keep at it. Willyboy is right persistence is the key, but once you pop the cherry and keep the momentum going + learn new things every single day, you should be up there in no time.

By the way you should try Facebook ads as starter because if haven't, you can claim FREE $100 credit in Facebook ads. Type in: "Visa Business" in the seach box and join the network. With the FREE $100 you probably can get at least another $100 before it's finished and snowball it to bigger sum. The least you can get is a good experience even if burn it all out

Congrats man. From your description you were just direct linking. How much were you bidding on the keywords, and how many keywords did you start out with? Also, how many clicks did you get before you got a sale? Just curious.

I'd say like 99.9% of my PPC Traffic that day was from Facebook Ads because my Adwords campaigns weren't giving me clicks except 1 click.

The thing about Facebook Ads, it was not keywords bidding, it's more about how much you're willing to pay for your clicks type of PPC.

I was getting 1.819 hops for the total of 5 products sold that day (2 sells from Indonesia, 1 from South Korea, 1 from Malaysia, and 1 from Great Britain), but I paid majority of the clicks $0.01 (I targeted cheap clicks countries, most of them Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philipines, etc) but still there are decent amount of people who can understand English but I've got to admit sometimes it needs quite a lot of hops to get a sale (sometimes more than 1,000 hops even don't get a sale, but for a $30+ commision product, you can break even if at 3000 hops you get a sale).

Also, probably not as much competitor there either, but I've got to admit that I was a bit lucky that day because the second best day I've got was only like $76ish

swijaya, wow! thanks for the info. Looks like FaceBook Ads is a good way to get very cheap traffic. At 1,819 hops which I assume are click throughs, on Google Adwords, you'd be broke! But it also means that at a very low conversion rate, the traffic is not very targetted. The guys are just clicking out of curiosity. I use facebook too and I click on those ads out of curiosity myself.

Facebook is kind of tough these days, sometimes exact same ads that were disapproved can be approved at the different times, weird, but I guess the persons who are doing the approval can be different at leniency level. Usually, I submit 3-5 different ads content for one product, however for ones that are approved you can duplicate for different country targeting if you want and usually instantly approved. But from my experience 90% of ads with pop ups won't be accepted.

PS: One time I made 80+ different ads with slightly different wording combination for one product just for testing and just couldn't work at all, so I guess some products are not meant to be advertised there and if that's the case it's time to try different products.

My advice is to wait a day or two but meanwhile look for a product that doesn't have popup. If you want to target Asian market (cheap clicks) you have to target above age of 23 because that's when the majority of people here start to work and have credit cards (people here hardly do part time jobs). Also one of my favorite is Trinidad & Tobaggo, English speaking country with 0.01 clicks Yummy!

I'd suggest target a market that is specific, using keyword there helps a lot (one thing that I do OK with is World of Warcraft guide) it narrows down a lot but you still get cheap 0.01 clicks for a very targetted market, but since typical facebook ads is hard to find laser targetted market like that, you always need to try to narrow it down as much as you can for better conversion rate because people facebooking typically have too much time and won't hesitate to click at your ads just for the sake of it.
