    Default Adsense..

Not posted on this bit before.. never really had much to tell you that was any good I suppose..

Over the last month or two, I have been getting on with making and promoting a couple of Adsense sites with quite tight niches.. taking my time and trying different things and just trying to figure out what works with them for the best return.

You probably already know that adsense is a numbers game.. I currently have 7 old sites and the 2 new ones.

I have not done anything at all on the 7 older sites since i put em up about a year or so ago...and didn't do a lot to em them.. just put em up, submitted a couple of articles to Ezine Articles and thats it, nothing else at all..but they regularly bring in a couple of dollars a day, not a lot, but not bad for no work.. Gotta say that these are about as basic as a site can get.... nothing fancy at all.. just a front page, a heading and 22-25 articles each.. and of course Adsense ..nothing else.

The new sites are a bit different. They have Rss feeds built in for google answers and a full amazon store feed, you tube link showing targeted videos.. and since they have come on line, seem to be working fairly well..Still very early days for those but I have been sending a few articles out on the new sites, and doing a bit of promotion, and they are now starting to show in the daily results and looking quite promising. Remember its early days yet..but i think they will soon be making more than the old sites do combined..

I have put these up as seperate web sites.. but of course Wordpress can do exactly the same thing..(there are themes available ready to go.. already adsense optimised) probably faster to put em up there on view and possibly even get better results as Google seems to like it.

I have another couple just about ready to go live, so that should help with the earnings as well..

Thats the thing with Adsense.. its usually a fairly small return..per site. but it carries on and on and on... for very little work once the site is up and running. It does not take very long to get a new Adsense site up and running.. comfortably in a couple of days or so... so imagine if those 9 sites were 90? or 900...now is it worth while? I will let you know how they do.

Don't forget about Adsense.. it can be a nice steady earner.. and of course.. all absolutely passive income.. Fancy going to the beach... anyone?

i run a website (very similar to the million dollar homepage from 2005) and it still brings in about 50-100 bucks a month and i have not touched it in years. lol. i havent really looked at adsense much since then tbh.

have you checked out Ed Dale's 30 day challenge?? its got some adsense stuff in it. would be good to play around with once i get my other IM income streams a bit more steady.

There is no reason why Adsense cannot play a part in your affiliate marketing.

The way I see it, if you designed a small site around a product or niche topic and initially tried selling affiliate products and the product is taken off the market or you aren't getting sales... then you can make use of the linkbuilding you done by incorporating adsense and testing it for some daily returns.

At the end of the day, if you have a website that is earning more than the cost of the domain name per year you are making a profit in monetary terms. Other things such as advertising and hosting costs can be factored in and you will arrive at your breakeven figure for a year.

For example, if a site cost $100 per year to run (with hosting/advertising/domain name costs etc) and you are making $10 per month in revenue (either a sale of an affiliate product or from adsense), your net profit per year for that site is $20.

You then have options on what to do with that site:

    1. Develop it more and build more links into it witth the aim of increasing monthly income (and therefore net profit if advertising/hosting/domain costs remain constant).

    2. Sell the site for $xxxx and use that money to invest in other sites.

Essentially, it is an affiliate marketing business you would be running. Constantly building up your portfolio of sites with profitable sites and selling sites that you do not want to build up or have no personal interest in.

So, adsense can have its uses as a way to make some additional cash from your affiliate marketing efforts.
