Ok so it's not a scam... I finally made my first sale!! It's working :) PPC + Uncompetitive Niche = Easy Conversions

Hey everyone!!! I'm still a Noob, but things are looking very promising very quickly in the process. My keywords are laser targeted and there is very little competition if any...

I know that 2 sales in 36 hours may not sound like much, but the ROI is off the charts! Especially for a guy who is just getting started!

Venom.. Good job.. How are you tracking things? I hope you are using something to track your things. With that kind of data you can increase that killer ROI even more.

Also, it can tell you your winning keywords so you can expand those even more and increase those 2 sales in two days to 20. You may not be able to tell alot with 2 sales yet, but you may at least have some data on the keywords that are leading to those sales.

    Good job!

    Thanks TGH...

I am micromanaging this campaign by using the google provided tools. The sample size is relatively low, but like you said, I can already see a CTR spread forming under the chosen keywords. This campaign is totally focused on niche keywords.

However, I made a huge blunder early on by leaving the content network active, so I really don't trust the numbers at this point. The CN gave me lots of impressions and a few clicks, but NO SALES...

Honestly, this campaign was intended to be a test run. My intent was to get comfortable with the resources and terminology. I really don't know exactly why or how the sales came in, so I am trying to figure that out now. Of course, given the early returns, I have to position myself to take full advantage of this opportunity. Cause right now, the CPC is ridiculously low for my chosen keywords.

    venom,

well done mate ... you have avoided the mistake that most beginners make by going for an uncompetitive niche - too many people want to go straight for the competitive ones ...

a top effort and really looking forwards to watching your success!

Its good that you bring up the content network. What I usually do is I create one campaign for search and one for content network. It makes things easier to track that way.

Furthermore, if you are going to do content network, for the love of Pete remove MySpace from the sites your ads are placed on. You will get so many impressions and no clicks and Google doesn't like that. MySpace is in there by default so you have to go in and add domains to the exclusion list after the campaign is set up. Your impressions will go way down, but your clickthru will be much better

Cool, Thanks!!! I will definitely check into that as well. It kinda scared me off at first, but a separate campaign is a Great idea. Thanks for the feedback!!!
