I placed this in the success stories section pending its success, and if it goes for at least our reserve (secret for now) I will disclose more details here, if it doesn't go we may relist or just keep it, add to it, try again in the near.

Let's see what happens, the auction will evolve soon and I'll be adding more to it but for now as a field tester it should suffice.

Wish us luck! Whoever takes this over, will be implemented here and will more than likely be joining us on future launches and or creating their own future EA's etc. Not much will change for affiliates other than the people you will get intel/materials/leaks etc. from in order to participate further with this series/product line.

This worries me too Steve, and raises a very interesting question.

What happens if someone buys a clickbank site like this, I assume they can do what they want with it, lower the %commission for example.

It has just brought home how reliant we all are on publishers as much as the customers.

I am not going to say what I really think here, but overall this move does not surprise me.

To put some of you at ease. No matter who buys it, we're going to educate them on how valuable the affiliates are and not to mess with pricing/commission (perhaps improve it). While we all tend to become a little emotionally attached to our campaigns and products et al, this is what's best for our business, and for growth. I have huge plans in the near future and this is definitely not me 'getting rid of all the NC stuff', this is me making a lot more room/time/resource for more projects (and bigger ones at that) for everyone to monetize on. Nothing will really change from your end other than actual ownership of the sites. Plus this isn't a last second drastic attempt to ditch the network either. If nobody grabs it at our reserve we keep it, the ship keeps moving forward as is for now.

Absolutely sad to see this 'mini empire' go. Unfortunately I cannot acquire this group of profitable products, for the person who does, there is quite a bit of profitability for them in the road ahead.

Sitepoint isn't really the place to sell it. They've got a few big companies looking around, but no independent wealth seekers who'd actually invest in this. At least not for the price you're looking for, Norb.

Honestly, I can't think of anywhere I'd sell websites over 50 g's.

I'd suggest selling them seperately. It's a bit more work, but 2 things. You can charge more in the end, and people are much more willing to pay $50-75K than $500K.

Simply too much for an online investment. Anyone who has that money already has plans on what to do with it and how to make it grow.

Nope, maybe you should look for a private broker that can look for an investor, this is a huge business, an I don't think you can find someone willing to buy it for that much there.

1. We have this on SP, and have a broker going through 7500 buyers/sellers knocking on doors.

2. The auction is already at 90K, and many have approached us asking for one/two sites (so we are actually considering it, 2-3 packages however not until a month/two go by.

3. I've been on SP for a while always keeping my ears to their slate and yes I know that our listing is bizarre over the top for them (curruently have the highest bid on the whole site though, and some PM's suggest that there ARE a few big fish in there with 6-7 figures looking to play/invest, but not many).

4. No egay.

5. I'm actually impressed with this, it's gotten quite a bit of attention and has helped spread the word to the broker world so the buzz is nice and I can't say SP isn't useful. Great platform as far as outreach and quick promo's go.

Who knows what will happen but it's a good experiment so far and there is no rush so I'm looking forward to see this unfold in the near.

true Norb, I dont think you will sell them through sitepoint but SP will definitely give the sale exposure and get the big boys attention, good luck on the sale anyway never got into the forex niche but have sold a few of your other products!
