    Default Hello, NicheChoppers!

    Greetings, all!

I'm a freelance writer, composer, and educational/business consultant by trades. This keeps me VERY busy, so I need a way to make alternate forms of income to pay the escalating costs of life.

I've been slaving away trying to get into Internet Marketing now for longer than I care to admit. The attractive lure of making good money online is a strong pull for many and an exercise in self-flagellation to me.

To date, I've made about $4 total in all my efforts, but I've spent about 1,000x times that trying to get a handle on things. So....

The long and the short is this: I need to make money at this. Yesterday. My short-term goal is $100/day. My long-term goal is negotiable and contingent on my short-term performance. I'm a hard worker and a fast learner, but I need a good start. So, any and all advice on how to make the dough-ray-me is welcome.

Hopefully, I'll find the help I need here and (once I get rolling) be able to help others make good money, too.

    Cheers!
    Tek

    Hello Tek,

    Nice to meet you.
If you are a freelance writer you have a good skill to use online in two ways: offer ghostwriting services on Elance.com or learn copy writing skills ; the other way is to use your writing skills to post articles based on a keyword strategy. Discover keyword to write around, tie it to a product that meets a demand or a problem, bingo, you will make sales.

Let me know if it works, dude. And you can write about me.
    Hope it helps, Xingo

    Welcome Tek.

As a freelance writer the article marketing approach could be an ideal one for you to follow. It will come down to keyword and product selection as you should be able to do a brief article from minimum research on virtually any topic you are comfortable writing about.

There is also plenty of scope for you to look at creating your own products in the near future - especially if you uncover any untapped niche markets during your research to promote other peoples products.

Yes, I've been a professional freelance writer for about 5 years now and I've made some money at it, but I want more money with less effort (is that wrong?). The whole keyword business is a bit confusing to me and I'm still working my way through the voodoo of it all.

My main problem is driving traffic, methinks. I can write the copy and tie it to a product (a no-brainer), but there are too many options to choose from: email marketing, article marketing, PPC, etc. Tough to know where to dig in.

If anyone has a cool suggestion on that, I'm all ears (and, yes, I'd be willing to write about you, Xingo!).

    Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome! Research and writing is my main thing, so I was hoping to "see the big W" on doing article marketing (or some such related thing).

Doing my own project is just a frightening proposition given my amount of experience in IM, though. Think I'll wait a bit on that!

    Cheers!

For article marketing you can pretty much follow the stuff posted by Lemonarian on the topic and related stuff:

    http://forums.nichechoppers.com/free...blueprint.html

    and

    http://forums.nichechoppers.com/arti...ed-report.html

That will give you an overview and can form the basis of your own strategy as it covers all the basic components. To make yourself stand out and excel at article marketing you simply make it your own by testing out what works best for you in terms or ROI compared to time invested.
