Greetings to all, I too am a newbie as of yesterday (3/20/09). My story is this...

7 years ago my company merged with another and I was squeezed out. I have found out that I am too expensive and educated to work in a min wage job... and I am not experienced enough to work in a salary position. I have a college degree from the University of Michigan but nobody seems to care. 4 years ago I ran out of money and ended up filing bankruptcy. Since then I have been forced to work for min wage but find myself working for idiots. My attitude comes out and you know how that works... I try!!!

I ran across an affiliate program and thought ... Hey lets give it a try, I can't do any worse. But the truth is, I could and I don't want to, so I am here to learn from the experts. Any and all advise is welcome. I look forward to starting. I downloaded the google adwords editor but don't know how to use it.

Well, I guess that's it for now.

Welcome to the forum, hopefully you'll find everything that you're looking for, and as you're a 'noob' you should have plenty to work with in here and hopefully we can get you to a decent income level fairly quickly.

So anyway, if you're heading into PPC and Adwords, say Hi to Capler and WallerBlog here on the forum.

If you're heading into Free traffic and search engine optimization, I'm your dude. We have a lot of members that are pretty good in that area too.

So I suggest starting out by reading the rules and then the link in my signature that says 'everyone should read this' - hopefully it'll help to put some perspective on things for you.

And then, start exploring the forum to your hearts content

Hi lotug and welcome to the forum.

If I remember correctly, I think one of the PPC sticky threads has a section that covers the basics about the adwords editor which may help you figure that out quickly.

As Lemonarian said there are people on the forum with different experiences and once you have decided which strategy to pursue it is better to get to know those people. Naturally, when you decide which strategy to use you will need to make sure to stick with that strategy long enough to overcome any learning curve rather than continually jump between different strategies.

I am still trying to guide my way through all this info and read all that I can. I have not decided which way to go yet but will certainly study all I can before deciding. I appreciate all the offers to help out. It's not often people in the same industry would offer to help, definitely a unique bunch of people.

As far as my expertise for the future and what I might be able to help people out with...

I have a degree in business and experience in the retail market. Including Petroleum industry.
I have 9 years experience in the Nuclear field as a reactor Mechanic (not much use here)
I have 4 years experience in the investment field with hands on experience in the 4X.
My brother is an expert archer, was a member of the US archery team. (I can get info from him)

when I learn more about this business I will know if I have any real expertise to offer. For now that's it.

Welcome to Niche Choppers; I wish you much success. I attended Central Michigan University. Thought I would try this out and see if it works. There is a lot of information but I guess you have to take the time to go through everything to be successful.
