We're generating a lot of buzz with this launch and are one step closer! I thought i'd pop in to share some amazing ways you guys/gals can monetize this.

Some of the marketing material has been posted - including 8 videos, 2 interactive landers with TONS of images in the images folder, banners etc. more will be released AFTER we launch to even the playing field a bit.

Landing Page Contest:
We're holding a landing page contest, and here is how you can participate:

1. Download the landing page(s) we have so far.
2. Create at least 2-3 pages from the one we provide (you have a full images folder to play with).
3. Get creative with your 2-3 page presell techniques (we want you to make more than one page for this contest, however for your interest too - re good ranking, high quality score/cheaper clicks for PPC/better SE results based on the next point).
4. Change the meta tag/SEO to target 1 or 2 phrases only.
5. WRITE AMAZING COPY - article/sales letter/one on one great read.
6. Do NOT mention 'Dancing With The Stars' more than once in a non-intrusive way (there are legal aspects involved, please respect this request).
7. use your own graphics/layouts if you'd like.
8. Show us your stuff! (we'll probably see all of them through our traffic stats but don't be shy, we want you to notify us).

You will be judged on:
* Overall Creativity
* SEO
* Writing/preselling techniques (we want to see a greased slide read)
* The way you link your pages/clickthroughs
* The calls to action you use
* The extra effort re graphics/layout
* Last but not least - your conversion rate!

Prizes will include cash, a potential trip to Vegas to mingle and learn from Louis himself (trip for two/couple), copies of the DVD's, copies of anything in our product line at niche choppers, and a slate of unannouned partnered prizing including some from you folks (feel free to PM me if you want your product as a prize - make sure it fits this demographic). Tonight there has been a great announcement that I must share with you. We weren't sure if Louis was going to be back on the show this year - however ABC announced the cast/launch and Louis is paired up with Elvis Presley's gem (from ABC) - PRISCILLA PRESLEY & LOUIS VAN AMSTEL - Actor and businesswoman, Priscilla Presley (Naked Gun, Dallas) is paired with Louis van Amstel who returns for his fourth season. Louis was most recently paired with Monique Coleman.

One of our members PM'd me a few good questions, thought I would share the Q/A here:

Being new to Affiliate Marketing I'm trying to get a better understanding of it.

I have decided to promote the Louis Lets Dance product. I've d/l all the landing pages and most promotional material. How do I get the actual website? I only see landing pages. I notice that the letsdancelouis.com is using aweber for autoresponder emails. Which I find would be usefull for me to send out to potential customers. It would also be usefull when a customer only orders one video and you would like to entice them to purchase the other 7. Or has not ordered one at all and you want to entice them with further emails. Lists are king for a number of reasons.

All your material is top notch. What I'm trying to understand is how to use the landing page and the main site. Most SEO stuff say that content is the key. What's confusing is the landing page. From what I read, it should be trying to get the customer to move to the home page. Kinda like "This product is great, for more info click here" or "to order click here!" If that is correct why would there be so much content on it when the main site does an effective job of that? So, what do I promote the most? Landing page or my main site? The LLD main site almost looks like a High quality landing page to me.

Any comments?

1. Landing pages are misunderstood and the term is used loosely so let's make it as basic as possible here:

The landing pas is meant to do nothing more than take them from that page to the main site (which can be called a landing page too, but we don't, let's just call that the main site). The landing page has all your aff links on it (hopefully you've changed all the links on the page to your hop link).

Though there is SOME content on the page, and it looks like there is the same amount of info, there isn't. We want it to look seamless so that when they click ANYTHING on that page, they go to the main site but it looks so similar that they don't know what just happened.

You don't need to point your traffic to your lander, you can point them directly to the main site from your campaigns. See - with clickbank, you as the affiliate are not really allowed to 'make the sale', you must pass your hop to the merchant site, thus we cannot give out our whole site as a standalone system because the traffic still has to come through the hops to get tracked, and as quality control we cannot simply give out our whole site to anyone out there...

The Opt-In - YOU can put an optin on the landing page you downloaded if you like - however - we have one on the main site that still tracks you - CB puts 60 day cookies on peoples machines so if someone came in from your hoplink, they would optin but not buy, they would get their 7 day email course, and buy somewhere in there from the links in the emails, you still get credit.

There ARE backend upsells/offers in place, and you STILL get credited on those as long as they happen within the 60 days. So they buy 1 or 3, they go to the thank you page, on that page we thank them and offer them a discount to upgrade to the full kit...

Not sure how you are structuring your campaign, but the landing page could/should have a .com going to it, and you simply promote the .com in any way possible.

First, thank you all for taking part in this promotion, we value it tremendously!

The current push is going well however we'd love to see more of you come on board for this as the TV show with Louis airs tomorrow/17th.

I've seen some of you convert very well and others just didn't have success no matter how much traffic they threw at it - for the people that chose their campaign deployment wisely and used a mixture of techniques, you've surpassed our expectations - though there are not many of you...

We are going to be updating the affiliate resources soon as well with new creatives for your use, however the current ones are still strong and get great CTR from PPC to bum...

If it is still a viable product I do have an interest in promoting it. But I've noticed a great big hairy error on the main sales page (at least it shows on IE7) and I am wondering if it was ever setup to allow purchase of the individual dance courses. If it was how to I set a hop to go straight to the foxtrot page for example?

The error is that the top of louis's head is repeated again in the middle of his face with an all blue background. I'm using IE7 so it could just be a IE7 glitch, buuuuuutttttt, Since 3/4 of the world still uses it I think it's important to look right.

If I'm out of line here just delete this and forget I ever said anything.
