Short Version: I got a sale using 2 keywords I had never expected to work.

Longer Version: As my attempt to get a sale within the 90-day period or else I get fined, I decided on a product that I stopped promoting a while ago. All in all, it was my bestseller in 8 products that I've tried (all different niches). I took the 4 base keywords related to the product and this is what I did:

* Generated a list of kws using Market Samurai (Google keyword tool should be the same) disregarding traffic cause I didn't care, apparently.
* Filtered out any keyword shorter than 4 words (articles were considered a word)
* Alphabetize
* Delete all duplicates. Similar keywords, like ones that ended in sale vs. sales, were kept
* Started running down the list

Surprisingly, the first two keywords on my list started with the indefinite article "a". I had never seen this before...

So I popped out two articles and had to stop early cause of family stuff. Got approved over the weekend I guess, and got 13 clicks, which corresponded to 13 hops (my lander is at: www .taxliens madeeasy.info).

The result: A sale that I can use to make sure I have time to do other stuff while waiting for more motivation to do CB stuff...

The point: Those keywords that don't look like they work might just give you an edge...
