Default YEY! Made my 5th sale! Bring on the Cheque!

Hey guys well I made my first sale with Clickbank in August and since then I have been making one sale a month I have just completed my fifth sale so I think my cheque will soon be on its way.

A nice healthy sum of $359 is my first cheque from Clickbank.

Could I ask how long it takes for Cheques to arrive I live in England?

Hopefully it won't take me as long next time to make this amount of money now I am more experienced.

Well done mate, I'm on 5 since Aug/Sept too - and I've worked backwards to find out that all sales and traffic came from 3 specific articles. All buying keywords where I was targetting info seeking type keywords before.

Not quite made enough to qualify for the cheque because some the payments were paypal and I need one more credit card payment to give me ma moneh... )

Spend it on something nice -- "all I really wann is money in my pocket.. cash in ma hand and....." init Wileyboy : )

    Congrats!

I usually get mine about 6 days after the check is shown as paid in the transaction sub tab bit, and if i remember correctly they hold it for 2 weeks after the previous pay period, so about 3-4 weeks after the sales.

    Nice work.

Do English banks not question anything when you try deposit a foreign cheque?

I can't remember, it was a while since I actually got a physical cheque. The Direct Deposit is cool and ususally within days.

If you have more than one bank account, shop around for the best price to deal with a Dollar cheque, it can range from £6 to £10+ to take it plus the rate.

Never realised I would need to fill in a form, well I should have three Cheques from America coming at once so I might cash them all at once so it saves me on the charges.

    Thanks guys

HSBC all you had to fill in was the simple cheque deposit form as you would with a UK cheque, only thing was you had to give it to a cashier - couldn't just drop it in the machine ...

for me the cheque, if sent from the US on the Wednesday, would normally be with me by the next Wednesday ...

but seriously, get onto direct deposit as soon as you can, saves so much hassle!!

Sweet, I'm with HSBC. When my first US cheque comes do you think they'll ask questions considering I'm 16? Will it be any different do you think?

Congratualtions on your first check Willyboy, now it's time to kick it up a notch and reinvest that money back.

I still request checks from all of my ClickBank accounts, simply because I like to split them amongst bank accounts. Also, I like to keep tack of where my money goes; I want it to run through my hands, first. They normally arrive within 2 days after it is shown (on the date) as paid. I am a huge saver... so the checks just lay around in a filing cabinet for 2+ months (never over three). It's quite funny taking them (checks) into my bank or credit union. 75% of the time the teller asks me, "where do you work" or "it this payroll"? After these questions, "one moment, please" ... they go into the back room and ask the manager some questions. Come back to me and have the nerve to say, "these checks will be held for one week". It's like clockwork. They don't need to state this in front of me ... it's not like the money in my account cannot cover the checks... Plus all of it goes into savings.

Too funny, next time I'm going to say, "I found these checks coming into the bank and white out the name. Replacing it with my name... I would like to deposit these into my savings."

It's standard protocol. How many of you guys get the same reaction?

No, don't worry. Your age doesn't matter, as long as you have the bank account.

I started depositing checks, when I was 17 and with no problems. I'm with Barclays, btw.

They may ask, where is it from (just say USA), and sometimes (usually they don't ask) they say how did you get it, or like what is the payment for......I remember, I said "Internet marketing". Oh god, I felt proud of myself at that time

What? The cheques are from your own fucking country and they're they're all tight about it? What's it like getting cheques from abroad?

Wicked. I called up my bank a while ago asking how much it costs to deposit US cheques, and it's something like [digs out ancient notepad], 5% with £6 minimum charge up to a £50 maximum charge and can take up to 6 weeks to clear (as if). I think that's just foriegn cheques in general (my notes are a bit vague), I don't think I asked specifically for US cheques (will it be much different?), but that info could easily be outdated anyway, before the whole credit munch thingy started. So ya, don't think I would have thought of just saying a cheque came from 'internet marketing' if asked I'd have probably have waffled about how I'm an affiliate for this and that and I promote on my sites...waffle waffle, lucky I haven't had any cheques so far. I never seem to take the direct approach. I feel prepared now, they can ask me anything they fucking want, bring on the US cheques! FOR SPARTA!!!

    Anyhow, thanks.

£50!? Thats greedy! My bank (in Sweden) always charge approx. $25 per check and I always have to sign a regression form (in case its a fake check). More checks just mean more fees. Also, if a check is above $8k, they inform the authorities to get the taxes :-(.

You would need to be depositing a cheque of more than $1,213.77 to be charged £50, any higher and it's still £50.
