I was recommended this place by mikey1090, im currently wanting to get involved in affiliate marketing and have recently dedicated a lot of time to researching it.

Still researching at the moment.

I hope to contribute here in time with anything useful that i may discover myself and to be part of a useful and growing community.

one thing i'd say ... research is good, but don't be afraid to dip your toes in the water and start trying stuff - it really is the best way to learn

A bit of advice when researching, especially product researching... always aim to think a few months in advance if you are considering any holiday promotions. For example, it may be too late to start promotion on christmas specific products if you are planning to do anything but PPC or direct email marketing etc.

Instead, the next holiday is valentines - so if doing anything in that area it would be better starting it now rather than at the end of January etc.

Other than that, you should also look beyond holidays and look towards evergreen products that have demand all year round and then when it approaches different holiday seasons you can promote it with some holiday angles.
