Actually, something soothing, like a panic attack remedy, or something to be used in case of depression will sell really well. These two will do really well in any market, crisis or not.

Dating could work too, but not many people will try and look for new relationships when they could have problems of their own. But a lot of relationships end because of arguments involving money (bringing us back again to the economy).
CB competition is way too high for a panic or anxiety cure, and it's hard to find affs for motivational products too, so I'd suggest you go with a depression cure, or a way to salvage/get back a relationship, lost love, or saving your relationship/marriage.

All in all, it's best to do some solid market research and not depend on other people's opinions :P.

A relationship product could do well when the economy is in difficulty as people will not be going out to pubs/clubs and restaurants as much and may look to cheap ways to liven/spice up their existing relationship.

Anxiety, depression, stress and panic + relaxation techniques can all be used with the same angle as well - solving and improving relationships. Nott so much dating, but repairing and improving existing relationships would be a better option than dating during difficult economic times.

Actually, the time is seriously ripe for a depression cure/treatment product right now, and given the right kind of presentation and planning, it could be really huge. Plus the relationship niche is kinda saturated what with the magic of making up and stuff.
