How can I access a server with out details?

Hey well I ve just tried to get on my site to find the domain had been suspended for some unknown reason.

I need to retrieve the files from the server however my log in has been denied I was running wordpress and need to get my custom theme.

Is there anyway I can retrieve my server files?

sounds to me you have two problems
your domain name suspended, happens normally from your registrar, normally during the 30 to 45 days redemption period
and that you cannot access your hosting account could be an internal wrong setting of your host company/

I don't know which host you use,but they generally have still all account functions there, only stopped you from access your account.
You should contact them asap

I ve contacted the host now. I had an agreeement with the guy who owned the servers that he would let me have a resellers account for free.
He now seems to have changed his mind after a year or so and has not notified me I am so stressed and worried that the files have been deleted because if so thats years of work down the drain.

If thats the case I ll quit IM and everything to do with the Internet, I really hope I can get it resolved.

Its nothing to do with the domain registrar cos I have just added another year on the domain even though it was no where near expirey.

Does anyone know whether wordpress keeps content on their own servers?

I'm sorry to hear what happened, and you possibly have nothing in writing regarding your agreement?

It never pays to keep a sensitive business like ours, with some "friendly" connections. And you know what they say, you get what you paid for.

Willyboy, I don't know if WP keeps copy or back-up files. I'm sure there are some WP experts here to answer this.
Did your guy say that there are no more files available on your previous account? Play up nice and see if you can get a quick access sto your stuff, pretend you will sign up for a bigger account, but you first have to review your files to make sure they are still intact.
Then backup/download whatever you can save and get a reliable host.

Yeah thanks Pur, I won't give up I ve spent over a year making this site and I am determined to stick with it. I have over 150 unique quality articles and I want them back along with my unique web design.

What I find strange is they have disabled my account and that one site but none of my others have been affected, I really dont understand.

I am trying to contact them now, awaiting a reply.

Yeah dont give up mate.

Ive had it happen to me 2wice - lost alot - but if you dont make it dont give up! make plenty of backups! like every week - i always do.

You need to put it that your loosing your income, all because they wont let you have a backups - then take the backup, new webhost (i can host u cheap if there small/med sites), your done, 3 days max.
