Sweet! First PPC Sale + Efficient Planet

This is too good to be true - I sent around 22 visitors to Efficient Planet (According to Adwords) - Direct Linking, and got a sale.

$33.92 - Nice

This makes it my second ClickBank sale overall in two weeks.
The other was Zygors WoW Guide - Article on Squidoo.

There is one problem though, ClickBank is reporting that I sent 52 visitors via PPC - But I believe it's the all famous tracking issue.

1:22 Hops (Well, could've been luck) would mean I could spend $33.92 for 22 visitors to break even.. $1.54~ Per customer...

Highly motivating - I will let my campaign run for a bit - until I get 100 hops for each of my ad groups, and start filtering and split testing.

I think I will stay with direct linking for now.

Well Done. That is good, you must have picked some good keywords. I sent over 100 hops via a landing page and got nothing so I stopped. Until I am more confident with CB I am going to stay away from PPC and Clickbank.

Yeah - I was really shocked when CB told me I send 50 hops, but then I checked adwords and it was 22.

I'll leave this campaign running and try my luck with Forex Funnel Squeeze Page which I will advertise using free methods. Torrents, Article Marketing, USFreeAds, etc.

Ooo and it looks like I'am getting a local mentor to help me out - A company I help out from time to time have an advisor who is gonna show me some his online tricks (hopefully)

re the numbers thing ... some of those "hops" could've been adwords bots seeing where your ad goes etc ... i've been caught out by them in the past when they figured out i was direct linking ... and once they caught me once there seemed to be no way i could get around them ...

also, there's always the fraudulent clicks issue which might mean a few more hops showing on clickbank (tho not sure this diff would show up in the stats quite so quickly)

Actually your stats above are showing 1:14 not 22 Really nice!!! Actually surprising considering you are going direct - you could be onto something.

Thanks - The sale actually channeled my thinking in a way.

I have 3 goals now:

-> Build a List
-> Make a Blog dedicated to showing the results of one particular product (not neccessarily efficient planet)
-> And make my own product over christmas *Norb, your 48 hour challenge inspired me :P*

EDIT: I finally pulled my head out of my ass and started tracking keywords properly...
My max CPC atm is 0.50 - it seems to be doing okay - 1% CTR (which may be utter crap to most of you)

For my TIDs - if its a "Suck a Goat" it will become ZSAG
If its [Suck a Goat] it becomes XSAG
If its Suck a Goat it becomes SAG
