hmm, now this is something.... Flock - Maybe the best IM/AM web browser?

    Hey guys n gals,

Just found this new web browser recommended to me by a friend, called Flock.

Flock Browser - The Social Web Browser

It's more of a social browser, but has great features based around Digg etc, so maybe its the best browser for social bookmarking? It's also got spell check which is pretty 1337.

Anyone else use this? Download it and give it a try, we may have found something great

    Ashley

Firefox ftw. Google Chrome is not bad, but I haven't heard about Flock, though....

Well yeah ive always been a FF man, the past several years ive sworn by it, just Flock seemed pretty intense for marketing purposes!

Its exactly like firefox, same little features, and will import EVERYTHING. Master passwords, cookies, save forms and passwords etc.

I installed, imported my FF stuff, and started using it straight away, came here, i was already logged in, all done dusted, sweet. Oh, and its pretty nippy!

I'm pretty impressed with Flock so far. Much better theme too! Nice find!

If you have a problem with flash, follow the prompts through and you will end up at the manual install steps. Close the browser, do the manual install and then open it back up and flash will work!

Meh ... It just seems to be a copycat of both Chrome and FF (layout wise).

You must remember (just as the iPhone) FF has thousands of addons. Which sets the browser or phone apart from the rest. It's simply the fact that (depending on your selected function) you can customize it. Chrome, IE, Safari, etc., have nothing on Firefox even though 80% of the population uses IE. Thanks Microsoft!

    Cheers,
    Kevin

Not too much of a fan. All I could think is that it was FF with a fancy skin.

Also - seems to be a large waste-o-time IMO. Everything can be done just as fast with FF.

Flock is built on firefox so its very similar most addons will work with both.
Flock was highly recommended in the thirty day challenge for its integration with
    twitter among other things.

I downloaded it but I haven't tried it just becuase I'm so comfortable with
firefox. But people who have tried it worth switching from firefox? Advantages?

Lol this is what im trying to say and people are missing the thread.

Is Flock a good browser to use as affiliates/publishers because of its social bookmarking tools?

This is what im trying to answer! I wont use flock for everyday web viewing, but when im writing my articles, submitting there here and there, Flock might be the place to do it.

Sorry I missed your first intention Ash. I would say that for me, personally, it is not worth the effort of an extra browser. Just open another instance of firefox, load up your social media / rss submissions / pinging sites and go to town.
