Hey guys please check out my new website design for my blog which I was going to give up on.

I am in love with the new design personally I think its great I am much more motivated to make this blog a success now and thank you to everyone here for inspiration. I have joined a competition which looks at the number of RSS subscribers you have made in a time period so please help out and subscribe to my blog it only takes a minute or two.

I heard you complaining about not making any cash from your blog. I am surprised Willy ... what if I would like advertising space on your blog? Where do I find this information? Remember this: your visitors are lazy. Provide them with: 1.) traffic details (alexa, Google PR, etc) 2.) type of content (target audience) 3.) banner placement (show them with screenies) 4.) quantity (spaces available) 5.) brief history of the site (age, about the author).

If you do have a page like this ... I didn't find it - which is equally as bad as not having one.

Wonderful colors and easy on the eye balls! Always a plus.

Thanks Noxter I do have a page but its hard to find at the moment, I am going to put one of thosed 125x125 boxes as an advertising box for my site so if you want to advertise you click the box and it takes you to the page.

Some excellent advice though I am definintely going to make the page really good so people have all the information they need.

Bit more advice after looking through your blog.

1.) Top right hand corner, where you have the opt-in for your free eBook? Yes there. Within that box - you might want to add "type your email here..." or something along those lines. This will GREATLY increase your magical list.

This is the basic code I use for feedburner or an opt-in box.

2.) You don't just want to stop at 125 by 125. I would offer 160 by 600 and 468 by 60 banner placements.
There is no need to place a ton of boxes that read "advertise here" on every single page of your blog... I would take a screen shot of your website, and show them where they can advertise by placing boxes. Also link all your screen shots together so they can see the entire page (where advertising will be).

Few months ago I watched you ask questions about making money from a proxy. If you don't mind me asking - how much are you making from them in total? Oddly enough, I have a few proxies that bring in a few thousand unique people a day. Alexa ranks in the 100 - 200k's.

I designed the theme, having the design in my head I wrote a design brief for the web designer and then he coded it. So yes its completely unique using inspiration from blogs I regularly visit.

Thanks Noxter I ll be adding that text in soon, after you mentioned it I took a look at the box and I guess people wouldn't always know how to subscribe or where.

Another great idea with the giving advertisers better choice I am going to get on with doing this, this weekend going to create a really good advertise page. Some great points thanks again.

I started internet marketing with proxy sites so my knowledge about proxy sites is rather large compared to many others who seem to go in to proxy sites thinking its easy to make a couple of quid or two which it usually is but then they wonder why they cant make more. Anyways since starting up this blog and focusing more on affiliate marketing the level of concentration and devotion towards my proxy sites has declined to the point where I don't advertise the ones I currently have anymore even though I have over 3,000 email addresses to opted in proxy users. I tend to just see what happens although with my current proxy sites I believe I am still making in the region of $50 a month with 3 proxy sites. Not a lot I know however as I just explained they are not an area which I concentrate on much anymore, really I should take advantage of my experience in this area and multiply this.

Proxy sites are the easiest way of making money online I believe, however the only thing I dont like about proxy sites is they are not a long term money earner and thats what I am now looking for thus being why I am now expanding to affiliate marketing and blogging.

The one tip I can give you is that most people who deal with proxy sites (this being around 95%) don't have a clue about internet marketing and SEO especially. If you know SEO like myself then you can quite easily maximise earnings through search engines alone. Seriously I am writing this wondering why I am not actually doing it, I guess the only answer I can give is time.

I recall doing some keyword research a while back whilst I was testing out a new keyword research software for a review I was writing and I was using it as a time to research proxy keywords because of the vast amount of searches they receive daily, and I came across so many long tailed keywords which received hundreds of uniques per day it was astonishing when typing these keywords in to Google and finding the competition to be little more than 100,000 results.

Anyways I am going to cut this short now and get on with my articles because it seems to be getting a little long

Oh, I make money from my proxies. A few hundred dollars .

I was just asking you how much you make (now) out of curiosity. I don't have an e-mail list (Yahoo groups, whatever) as I don't focus on the niche anymore. I do, however, rank in the top keyword for proxies.
