I've been around lurking, yes, yes, I know :\.

My father is currently battling cancer at the age of 56. I'd ask for those that believe in prayer, to please take a second and send him a silent prayer. I'm sure he would appreciate it. Gary Oliver.

I'm also letting CB idle out since my focus is on the holidays.

I also just found out today my close neighbor of 10 years has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Sorry to hear your news, but I swear the similarities of the events is quite stunning.

I can sort of understand what you're going through, I lost my dad to a cardiac medicine overdose...he was 56 then too.

Don't know what to say, I'm praying for you all man. Do post when he gets better.

I really appreciate the kind words given here. Since my father is in town and having to do hospital visits before the operation; I have been away. I do, however, surf around NC on my iPhone.

The cancer was found on top of one kidney and (they think) it has not yet spread. They'll be removing it come this week.

We're with you in spirit Kavin. My moms just went through this too actually, skin cancer though, luckily it was caught early enough and she beat it but I know how hard these times can be. Do your best to be strong and don't be shy to reach out to someone if you need to vent out/let go...

The update:
The tumor that was found happens to be impossible to surgically remove. This only means one thing ... chemotherapy. Which will only cause my father to be a ticking time bomb. Having studied cancer and how the beast works -- I have been speaking life into my father. Digging deep into his inter-self. Medicine cannot beat this disease... my discomfort is that it never will.

I have spoken to so many people and have saved them of their troubles. Yet... when I speak to my father, I tremble and my mental vision is blurred.

Today my father has had his first treatment of Chemo.

Bloodied, but unbowed...

Very sorry to hear mate. Cancers a horrible thing that affects nearly everyone is some way, and its affected my family and friends lots too.
